OK, Glyph of Conflagrate and Glyph of Incinerate are must haves for 0/13/58, but what about the 3rd glyph slot? I've been running with Glyph of Immolate since Fallenman's Guide to Raiding Specs way back when. With the changes to pet scaling in 3.2, would Glyph of Imp be a better choice? For that matter, how about Glyph of Life Tap? Has anyone tested or have experience with either of these for Deep Destro? |

Re: Revisiting Destro Glyphs
I personally haven't tested anything other than immolate for the 3rd slot and its because im too lazy to go change the glyph... I bet either imp or life tap would be a viable choice with the 3.2 changes though. I'm still guessing that immolate tops them both, not by much though. Maybe its gonna come down to personal preferences now.

Thats a great thread for immo vs lifetap, but has anyone looked at the glyph of imp given the changes to pet scaling and empowered imp? |

Someone on EJ's sim thread suggested that T9 locks should drop the incinerate glyph for the the life tap glyph, because T8 had a bonus for incinerate and and T9 does not. No data to back it up yet as far as I know, but keep an eye on the EJ threads for updates. |

I've been re-evaluating my glyphs ever since 3.2 came out. With the buff to Glyph of Lifetap (40second up time) ElitistJerks for the most part has Glyph of Lifetap out performing Glyph of Immolate, with the 'typical' set up being GoIncinerate, GoLifetap, GoConflagurate. However, I have found that I still do not benefit from GoLifetap nearly enough to dump GoImmolate, but that is my own play style and the fact that I rarely have to life tap durring boss encounters. Sure i'll life tap a few times while moving to reposition myself, but it is not part of my rotation, often times when I have to move and my mana pool is not hurting ill throw a corruption on the boss instead of lifetapping. Glyph of Imp increases the damage that your imp does by 20%. Even though pets got buffed with the last patch, I do not think this out performs the glyphs that buff your personal damage plus it makes your dps even more reliant on your pet. Keep in mind that this glyph does not in anyway affect how often your imp crits, only the damage it produces so it has no bearing on Empowered Imp. |

Re: Revisiting Destro Glyphs
Well i dumped GoIncinerate for LT. I found i did way more dps with it after several tests on the target dummy. |

First off, yay first post! out of lurker status ![]() I found after patch 3.2 and several tests, that having GoLifetap insted of GoImmolate increased my dps with ~200dps just on the dummy, just having LT rank 1 on my action bar and roll it into the normal rotation. |

I think I'll do some testing on this tonight to see if Glyph of Life Tap does out DPS Incinerate or Immolate. Even as a destruction lock I still Lie Tap a lot fault of habit really. But I think Glyph of Life Tap might help Rain of Fire which is obviously not affected by the other glyphs and in my mind has pitifully low output, I'd love blizz to put Molten Core back in Destruction where it belongs. Any suggestions which glyph to replace to get the biggest benefit? I will test both though. And is there a suggested Spirit to make the glyph worth swapping? Re: Revisiting Destro Glyphs
I honestly went for the GoImmolate because I lost my tier 7 4 piece setbonus. I guess Ishould check if it makes much difference or not.
