Can't decided what to upgrade next
I'm stuck on deciding how to upgrade next, i have 3 pieces of 9/9.5, and the merlin robe, so I need to upgrade my helm, but what to get. Should I go for BiS [Hood of Fiery Aftermath], or get the 9.5 for my 4 piece. Any comments or suggestions would be gratefully recieved. My armory link >> The World of Warcraft Armory |

you definitely need to go for Hood of Fiery Aftermath...i took a look at your link and noticed you were a fellow destro lock. i say go for the hood cause it is best in slot for destro locks...the 4 piece bonus for tier 9 is nice but immolate is only a very small part of your damage and a 10% increase is almost laughable.  if you hav any other questions about gear just go to maxdps.com and look up destro locks...it hasnt steered me wrong yet.

Not so sure, last time I saw any simcraft it said the hood was only bis if you still got the bonus. I think the bonus is worth it over the hood, but not by much.

Sorry Jbrown, but that was totally wrong. The"laughable" 30 dps that the Hood is better than the T9.5 head is nothing against what the set bonus brings you. 10% for immolate means 10% for immo+conflag, i.e. 20-25% of your damage. It's at least a 2% dps increase which, even if you only do 5k dps, corresponds to around 100 dps. |

Go for four piece T9. Absolutely no point in having 3 pieces of T9.25. At least drop one and go for the hood and another good non tier item. I would still just go for the four piece though. |

hey all, I am in a similar predicament, I only have the t9.25 gloves, I have a trophy rdy to use to buy my next t 9.25 piece to get the 2 set bonus, I am just unsure of which piece to get , was going back and forth on whether to replace my legs or my merlins robe, to me the pants kinda seem like a better replacvement since I wouldnt be losing crit or haste, a little spirit but not much, I think the 2 set bonus would greatly help my dps which kinda sucks imo. Go with the legs personally. I went from the same pants you have all the way down to ilevel 232 legs to complete the 4set, but the gain of the bonus outweighed the lost stats. I think the same applies to you and the 2 set is worth even more than the 4 set. |

There are a few sources for trinket discussions, might want to read more in depth there : Trinket, what to use? & Trinket Discussion - Page 20 - Elitist Jerks In general, I wouldn't try and use trinkets to get capped, but get your way there through gear & reasonable gemming. Good trinket stats/procs are too valuable. |
