What gear am I missing?
All, Check my CTProfile, which is linked over there underneath my name to the left.  Being that this is my first WoW char, I have no idea if Im adequately geared for my level or what. IS there some item that is a must have at my level? Keep in mind Ive only run 2 instances, Dead Mines and Stockades. Appreciate any input you can offer.

Your bracers and boots are way outdated, try looking around the auction house for some upgrades on those, scarlet monestary is your best friend at level 34-42 or so, great gear there, not sure how much alliance do it since it's in horde territory, try to get a group and pick up illusionary rod, that thing rocks, berylline pads from a razorfen kraul quest are good too, but again it's a horde area instace so groups might be limited, gnomeregan also has a few pieces of gear, that's all I can think of for your level, I wouldn't worry too much about gear till 60, but I like to keep my gear level req no lower than 5 levels below the current level of my toon. |

Hehe, what gear you are missing? The staff is decent, the rest.. meh. Warlocks should get gear with the following stats: damage/shadowdmg, crit, sta, int. Ignore spirit. Get the staff from the warlock quest or a dagger of shadow wrath + the offhand from the same quest. Get Robe of the lich (RFD) or make Robe of Power if you're a tailor. If you're an engineer, get Green lens of shadow wrath. Necromancer leggings are very nice if you can find them on AH. And, ignore the fellow over. Do worry about your gear before you turn 60, as you'll have a lot more fun from 1-60. Doing 1-60 with sta/int/spi-gear only sounds like a horrible nightmare. |

I'm in with the don't worry about gear til close to level 60. Then again, I like to level as fast as possible, and running instances = crappy xp after you've already done the quests inside. |

I also wouldn't worry much about gear as you're leveling. Just keep upgrading any chance you get, but don't sweat it. I would suggest doing each instance at least once. It gives you a shot at good gear, and they really are fun. You find some boe upgrades along the way and the blues are nice too if you win the rolls. Other than that, I was never the type to go out of my way to spend gold on the AH or enchants until I hit 60. Scarlet Monastery is a common instance to do for both Alliance and Horde, but it's usually not until level 37 or so that you bother going there. It's a long trip so I went up there at the level that I could just do the whole place. |

Just a quick observation but I noticed that two of you who said dont worry about gear are on a PvE server, whereas Psi (and myself) are on PvP servers. My concerns about my gear almost exclusively comes because of world PvP. I probably wouldnt think twice if I was strictly PvE because I have little trouble with mobs with a reasonable level range to me. |

I am playing my 60 priest on daggerspine(us PvP server) when I am not raiding on my warlock, trying to get her to rank 10 so I spend alot of my time pvping. There is really nothing you can do about world pvp encounters, especially getting ganked, which I was alot while leveling. Being on a pvp server, I would focus on stamina(which I do on any server with any toon, including my warrior and rogue, both 60) and the class of my choice secondary atributes. World pvp happens, either your prepared or your not, pre-60 gear shouldn't(correct me if I'm wrong) play a big role in the outcome of the encounter(there is only so much twinking a person can do to a toon in their 30s) so I wouldn't make a big deal about it. +damage gear is good to have, but you won't find alot of it before 60, without giving up alot of other stats at least, I found it helpful to have a good amount of spirit to lower downtime when solo questing/grinding so if you find some items with stam/int/spr, those would be great choices.
