Re: Spell Alert
I haven't tried it yet, but I know dotimer now provides a "Notifications" addon which lets you customize responses to events. You could for example echo some message to your scrolling text, play a sound, or create a 5s timer when a rogue uses cloak of shadows. The new version does require a bit of configuration, but I find it extremely complete and the perfect companion to necrosis

Re: Spell Alert
There is one called WitchHunt the tells you when any character near you does something. Many times it has saved me from getting ganked. Other times it just provided some small warning before I got blown away. |

Re: Spell Alert
There's a mod that does this with SCT, called SpellAlertSCT. Should be able to find it on Curse. |

Re: Spell Alert
use nature enemy castbar, it's the best (for me personaly) I saw WitchHunt, dotimer, spellalert and the build in enemy castbar. The point of quick reactions is you get the information within a small part of the screen, and enemy carbar can do that clearly, from you focus. WitchHunt I disabled because when fighting in PvP with a few enemies it spammed my screen so badly I could hardly see anyone For the rest I don't mind any, I just like enemy castbar the best, simply because I don't like blinking messages spamming my screen with (mostly) useless information about all instant casts all classes have... |

Re: Spell Alert
eCastingbar is the absolute best for this. i have no hesitation in recommending this to everyone. Once you try it you will never go back. Natur enemy cast bar is also very good (i use this too) but for showing what your target is doing nothing can beat ecastingbar. it would get 11 out of 10 from me.
