Re: Broken Add Ons in 2.2?

When I logged in after the patch I hit 'load out of date addons' just to see what mayhem that caused.. surprisingly, not a whole lot. Except when I tried to mouse over the stuff in my bags - I don't know what you call it but the item info window for stuff in my bags was not showing up.

Thankfully someone in my guild had already figured out that it was the Extended QuestLog addon that was doing it.. I disabled it and that fixed the problem. But now I have the crappy old one-window quest log. >_<

I have a window in the middle of my screen (palidan group) similar to the class pull out window you get from the raid page. I only get this window obviously when I am in a raid and can not get rid of it (usually right clicking the window prepatch would close it).

I have /reloadui several times, I have diabled CT everything several times, I have yet to be able to fix this issue.

HELP

Always maintain a rigid state of flexibility
This exact problem happened to my son last night. Raid group stuck right in the middle of his screen. He had to do Kara with it like that all night, and he couldn't even see his characture at all - still not fixed either.

Will delete every addon he has tonight to try and fix it. He only uses deadly boss mod and CT raid assist, and maybe one other I can't recall right now.

Same thing happened to me and I found the culprit. It's not any addon, it's Blizzards UI that is causing the problem. To fix the problem, do this.

-Exit Wow.
-Go to your c:/Program Files/World Of Warcraft/WTF/Account/<Your account name>/<Your Realm>/<Your Character Name>/SavedVariables folder.
-Delete Blizzard_RaidUI.lua file.
-Restart game.
-Enjoy a clear screen.

I did this last night and it works like a charm!! Just make sure you go into each of your toons and do the same thing.

Re: Broken Add Ons in 2.2?

I had HUGE problems with MY ui...

I use Xperl, bongos, itemrack and necrosis to name a few...

those first three are still being a big pain in my lower robes. itemrack gets an error when i mouse over my items, xperl gives an error message when i mouse over party or raid members and bongos seems to make whatever is in my first slot of hotkey'd buttons (the number "1" in my case) become all of my buttons on my shown bars whenever i target a fellow ally....

is there any way i can turn those error messages off? or...should i just turn them off and wait for updates to come?

Re: Broken Add Ons in 2.2?

Heyaz,

Im having major issues with my UI's

I use - CT Mod
Quartz Latency Timer
KTM
Dmage meter.

The game play is very very laggy, quartz seems to be the issue and i'm having problems timing my /stopcast macros with quartz..its as if quartz isnt reading accurately and when i hit the button to cast the next /stopcast spell it cancels the first eventhough quartz indicates that it is in the "red" zone.

I luv the quartz timer and does anyone have a link to anything similar but up to date with 2.2?

Also while in the game my buttons freeze up...I realized that the interface was thinking that I had my "shift" button pushed down..but i didnt ...so one minute im looting one by one..next minute im auto looting...very weird.

Windows gives me a message about "keystrokes"...im like UM..what is that.

HELP!

But one thing puzzled me. My addons are all over the places. To be exact, my screen seems to have shrung even though I am still using the same resolution (1920 x 1200).

1) I cannot fit in all my addons into the scrren anymore.
2) Some of my addons are out of the scrren (when previously it was at the edge). This lead me to conclude there is something wrong with the wide screen resolution.

A search on the wow forum seems to show that it happen before durin the PTR but got fixed but not this time round. Guess gonna wait for them to fix it . http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...78035869&sid=1
thank you for this. i've been away from wow for about a month and ALL my addons were outdated. i never even noticed the 'load outdated addons' option. haha. all my addons loaded saving me quite a bit of frustration. everything works in regards to fitting on the screen.
