Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

I think I remember seeing something like this, but cant find it for the life of me now. Im looking for a macro that when pressed normally will cast curse of exhaustion regularly, and when pushed with a modifier (preferably shift) will cast amplify curse followed by curse of exhaustion.

Is this possible at all? Thanks in advance for any help.

EDIT: Nevermind I found it on the wow forums. This can be closed or ignored.

Even better, you can make it left click for CoX, and right click, using amplify curse. Once I fix the game, I post it here for you.

re: Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

i dont click, i use hotkeys. Also this is the macro i found, but when i use it, it casts amp curse and curse of exhaustion, but the amp curse is used, but not applied to the curse (at least it doesnt seem to apply, when i hover over the debuff on the enemy it still says 30%, not 50%).

Is there something wrong with this macro?

#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:shift] Amplify Curse
/stopcasting [modifier:shift]
/cast Curse Of Exhaustion

lemme know, thanks.

re: Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

i tried a bunch of different ideas last night and today to fix this but still havent figured it out, anyone know whats wrong with it or if its even possible to do this (i know you cant really cast 2 spells with one push of a button if i am correct so maybe thats the problem).

okey, first your problem is how your doing it. heres how you want.

/cast [modifier:shift] Amplify Curse; Curse of exhaustion

That should do it for you. just make sure you do not have a hotkey already binded to shift-(key your using for this)

re: Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

thank you, i will try that out

EDIT: Ok i just tried it and i had to press shift + the key for amp and then just the key again for the curse, so thats not it. Also it still had it listed as a debuff as -30% does it not show up as 50% when you use amp curse regardless?

re: Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

well i don't understand what you want, no matter what it will take 2 clicks. whether its Shift 2 then 2, or if you want shift 2 and shift 2 again. you could do it as

/castsequence [modifier:shift] Amplify Curse, Curse of exhaustion; Curse of Exhaustion

i don't think you can do 1 click to do 2 things. and as the debuff, i think the tooltip is just incorrect, i believe the amp curse is correctly applied. watch your buffs and see if its used after you use curse of exhaustion. if so, then it has been applied.

I found this at http://www.wowwiki.com/Useful_macros...rse_with_Curse

#showtooltip Curse of Exhaustion
#show Curse of Exhaustion
/cast Amplify Curse
/stopcasting
/cast Curse of Exhaustion

not sure how to put a modifier in it.

re: Amplify Curse macro assistance thread

turns out the first way i posted is both casting amp and the curse, it first puts amp in my buffs then casts curse of exhaustion and the buff disappears, with one click too. I just didnt know that the game was wrong in not improving the debuff tooltip on my target

trinket + amplify curse + CoD

Looking for a 1 button macro that will use my trinket cast amlify curse then cast curse of doom on lastarget.

Found something very similar to this on the net but its really hard to tell if its ALL working correctly. It casts Curse of Doom OK but the Amplify Curse and Trinket use happens really fast so its hard to tell if all 3 are working.
