DoT Timer
DoT Timer
Download from: [ Curse Gaming ] Rating: Mixed reactions - while a lot voted "must have" or "highly recommended" the comments show a different opinion. I suggest reading through the comments to see if this add-on suits your needs.Description: DoTimer is an add-on that times DoTs and HoTs that you cast on other people. There are actually 5 add-ons included in this download:
Plenty of add-ons (Quartz and Necrosis especially) will show countdown bars for my DoTs and banishes. The trick with DoTimer is that it has a countdown bar for my succubus' seduce... absolutely vital in most heroic runs. ~ Warpy DoTimer is one of the must have addons for any warlock, especially with DoTs being our bread and butter. The ability to keep track of multiple mobs, and especially players in PvP, and be able to click the timer to re-target the player, is absolutely a must for its utility alone. The fact that almost every class in WoW can use this add on makes it extremely useful across the board. The ability to set up various notifications to others with it also makes it very handy. ~ Gypsii I used this mod the entire time when I was leveling and during 10 mans, but unfortunately now I'm in 25 mans I have noticed a significant increase in CPU time used by this mod, possibly due to the number of mobs being tracked and spells being thrown around. ~ Dalnaresh |

Re: DoT Timer
One of the DoT timers that work well. One timer is a must - doesnt have to be this one.

Re: DoT Timer
Again a lukewarm response from me as I have recently stopped using this. Timing Dot applications across mutliple mobs seems in my experience to be only useful in trash DPS situations. I found I had a huge amount of my screen filled with dot info which I never used. I now have Quartz showing me my current targets spell timings as well as my focus target, which does the job.
That being said, Dotimer is a damn good addon, and makes Afflocks job so much easier |

Re: DoT Timer
I think it's necessary for some instances and boss fights. I just ran kara the other day with my guild for the first time, and was able to manage the prince fight without issue. All i do is look at those timers to refresh when they're out and SB when they're up.

Re: DoT Timer
Even though I use X-perl which shows my dot timings in an extra large debuff icon, I concentrate on DoTimer for it's fade effect. I also find the graphical bars easier to glance at during a fight than trying to read all the seconds remaining on the debuff icons.

Re: DoT Timer
Quartz also provides countdown timers for CC. No difference there.
