Re: DoT Timer
Using Quartz and Necrosis (for cast bar, shards count, the shortcut bars, etc), i don't feel the need to use this addon. Tried it (and Fort too) and, to me, was waste of memory. Both Quartz and Necrosis do the same effect. Is a great addon if you dont have memory problems and want to keep track of every dot on every mob, but wasnt that important to me (even as being affliction) |

Re: DoT Timer
I used to use this addon and would recomend it to anyone that is after a simple Dot timer. I now use Quartz so no longer have a use for this addon |

Re: DoT Timer
I think this addon is fine, but despite its name, I use it mainly for the charm of my succubus or to check the mob I ban. I dont think we need dotimer for dots, since there is already a timer under the icon of the mobs. |

Re: DoT Timer
I agree with the other comments: DoTimer is a nice, but redundant and ultimately unnecessary add on. |

Re: DoT Timer
DoTimer is one of the must have addons for any warlock, especially with DoTs being our bread and butter. The ability to keep track of multiple mobs, and especially players in PvP, and be able to click the timer to re-target the player, is absolutely a must for its utility alone. The fact that almost every class in WoW can use this add on makes it extremely useful across the board. The ability to set up various notifications to others with it also makes it very handy .This add on is something any, and every class in WoW can use to some degree..... its utility should not be under estimated, nor over looked. As far as add ons go that track DoTs, this is the finest one out thier. If your looking for something to simply show a DoT timer, thier are a lot of other options available. If your looking for something that you can modify, have show a lot, track multiple players/mobs, click to re-target, send communications to others...... well you get the idea,

Re: DoT Timer
Absolutely essential if you're trying to keep your focus CC'd while DPSing another mob. Not only does the display of time remaining let you know when to recast, allowing the gap between banishes, for instance, to be fractions of a second, but it also detects when said CC breaks. The icons under a mob can do the latter, but not the former, and even then only when you're targeting them. There's just no comparison in an instance or raid environment. It's even more useful for affliction locks, allowing them to time dot renews to the second. I can't imagine any affliction lock doing as well without this addon as they can do with it. Add that the cooldown module is useful for any class, and this addon becomes a clear winner. |

Re: DoT Timer
Used it for at least a year now. I like being able to put dots display near where my eyes focus (i.e. near my nuke buttons and omen). Tries the quartz one and that was too small for me to properly notice. |

Re: DoT Timer
Love it. Personally, I disable the communication and notification pieces. I just use it to track DoTs and Cooldowns. It is invaluable for rebanishing those saw blade slingers in SSC. You don't have to use DOTimer, just use a timer. I like this one, simple, easy to use. |

Re: DoT Timer
Are you raiding 25 man stuff with 3-5 warlocks? Do your raids have 30+ buffs up on the target? Its much much easier to have a timer than try to figure out which corruption is mine. |

Re: DoT Timer
You can increase Quartz's size, so it is easier to see. I used Dotimer for awhile and liked it. I am trying quartz now and like it as well, especially the red latency area at the end of a cast. Both are great, although I haven't figured out how to track multiple mobs like Dotimer did. |
