Omen Threat Meter

Omen Threat Meter
Download from: [ WoW Ace ] [ WoW Interface ] [ Curse Gaming ]
Rating: Must have add-on, get it... GET IT NOW!!

Description:
Omen is a threat meter. Basically, enemies in WoW decide who to attack by deciding who is the most threatening based on the abilities you use. What Omen attempts to do is provide reasonably accurate estimates of your group's relative threat level on individual enemies, so that you can see when you're in danger of pulling aggro (or, if you're next on the snack list if your tank bites it). This info is usually only critical in raids, where only tanks can survive aggro, but it's useful for any multi-player situation.

If I had to chose ONE add-on, this would be it. No doubt. This add-on shows you how far your damage can go. It tells you when you need to stop doing damage. It tells you when you can do more damage. ~ Malboro

Omen and Dotimer are just absolute must haves for any lock. I'm not a big fan of addons but I have these. The best part of omen, especialy if your an affliction lock that dots up multiple targets. It' keeps track of your threat for each target. ~ Anij

Even if it's just you & your pet, especially the Voidwalker, OMEN is great as you know exactly when you're going to pull a mob off him. In my guild if you don't have OMEN you cannot raid. ~ Belaide

Definitely on my "must have" list.
When it's just you and a pet, you generally know what you can get away with...
but in a group, it's really handy to know if you're getting too close to the limit.

Re: Omen Threat Meter

This addon is pretty great. It tracks threat pretty decently, though it can be a bit buggy in my experience. It is a requirement for raids. There is also KHLthreat meter (?) but I did not like that at all compared to Omen. Omen will let me know right before I will take a dirt nap. The screen will blink red if you go past a certain percentage of the tanks overall aggro, to give you a bit of time to pause, or do some threat reduction.

Highly highly recommend. Even for instances.

Re: Omen Threat Meter

This is the one add-on you simply cannot raid without! The benefit over KLH is that Omen can read KLH data from others' in your party, while KLH cannot read Omen. I've seen it bug occasionally, but typically the data is very reliable. (And it's useless if the tank doesn't have a threat meter installed.) This handy little add-on has allowed me to maximize my damage while save my repair bill. Even hard-core players I know who refuse to download addons have Omen.

Download this right now if you don't have it yet!
