"Mouseover" me-nooblet wants to know what that means

Does this mean that you simply pass your cursor over something and (as in a macro) something will happen without an actual "click"?

Thanks in advance for being gentle with your answers

Re: "Mouseover" me-nooblet wants to know what that means

no, what the mouseover does is you mouseover something, click the macro and the action occurs

eg if i want to remove curse i mouse over playerA frame and click macro and the curse is removed

Targeting MT
mouse over PLAYER_A frame
"remove curse mouseover macro"
"starts casting heal on MT"

this opposed to

Click PLAYER_A frame
press "remove curse"
click MT frame
"cast heal"

first example never stopped targeting the MT, 2nd example i did.

as mage you can make a macro that casts "remove lesser curse" using mouseover and mindlessly mash it in molten core on several boss fight. as a druid you can turn all your instant cast hots in mouseover macros making healing easy ( or easier ).

Thank you! I get it now. I was avoiding the macros with a mouseover because I didn't know the mechanics of how to use them, so now I can try them

Re: "Mouseover" me-nooblet wants to know what that means

As a Druid i can't help but stress the importance of having a good party (raid) frames and mouseover macros (addons).

My personal favorite it's a heavily modified grid + clique, you can find both grid and clique easily on google.

As a warlock though i don't use mouseover, but it might come handy to devour magic from your friends.

I use a mouseover macro (that targets your target if you aren't mouseovering) that also sets my focus for all CC - Seduce, Banish, Fear, Death Coil.
And more, really. Like Felpup stuff.
