Shadowbolt-DPS Trinket macro problem in 3.02
I am trialling a destruction build in 3.02 with 51 points to pick up Chaos Bolt. I have previously used the following macro for casting Shadowbolts/Incinerate which is a basic +DPS trinket activation macro: #showtooltip Shadow BoltPrior to 3.02, one could just keybind this macro and spam, spam, spam - the result being that it would use +DPS trinkets (when not on CD) to maximise DPS. However I noticed something interesting in BT last night. Spamming this macro actually caused it to cancel the Shadowbolt during the cast. So if one were to just spam it, you would actually end up standing there doing no DPS at all. I quickly switched the macro off and just keybound the Shadowbolt from the Spellbook and to my suprise! - no problems with cast cancellation or spamming! I also tried a few variations of this macro including removing the /stopcasting component; however the same problem occurs. This change has come about since patch 3.02. I would appreciate any ideas/feedback/discussion from other who also use this/similar macros. |

Forgive me if I'm just being a nub, but... you have /stopcasting right at the top of that macro. Doesn't that stop all casting? My macro looks similar to that except that I set it to turn off sound while using the trinkets. (the "sighing" was irritating) #showtooltip Shadow Bolt /script UIErrorsFrame:Hide() /console Sound_EnableSFX 0 /use 13 /use 14 /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear(); UIErrorsFrame:Show() /console Sound_EnableSFX 1 /cast shadow bolt I suggest you just remove the /stopcasting and see how it works.
