Recount help

Multiple 'Recount help' threads merged...

Heya all,

I didn't see this readily answered in the first few threads I searched so here goes:

I can't seem to find a range set option in the recount UI. Is this defaulting to 200m?

I have all the other settings figured out but want to make sure I'm getting as much data as possible on fights like Gruul. Do I need to change a setting (and if so where) or is it defaulting?

Thanks for any help!

Re: Recount help

i believe the range of the new combat log is "as far as you can see"

hence why there is no range check anymore.

i'll find a source for you sometime when it's not 2am xD

Recount 2.4.3 problems

Any uber Coders out there know how to fix Recount with new patch.

Getting a error spellaura refresh not Recognized or something like that.

Noticed it is only happening when pet is active.

Re: Recount 2.4.3 problems

Maybe give the chance for the authors of the mod to fix it. Patch has been out less than 24 hours...

recount messed up?

i was running kara today and my dps would just randomly go down by 30 and soemtimes 100-200 for no reason after the mob was dead. It was happening mostly on trash after the patch.

Re: recount messed up?

I would suspect its mostly how things like recount and WWS track DPS. I will see if I can explain it to make sense lol.

When you use Dots, it parses the logs and sees 254, 300, 600, 5000, 254, 300, 600, ect If the mob dies and the last entries are ticks from dots at 400 damage, then nothing while you exit combat, its going to drop your dps.. even if the spell that was .1 seconds from getting cast was going to hit for 5k and bring it back up.

If your just spamming nukes your parsing the same 5k values, you dont see as a dramatic drop in dps because there are no small entries to bring your average down.

That said there could very well be a bug in the old version thats adding to or causing this.

Re: recount messed up?

im destro just spamming bolts. Sometimes it would just go down as the tank started attacking a mob , other times it would go down as i cast curse of elements which it wouldn't before.

Need a little help with Recount

Hi gang. I quit playing WoW for about 8 months and have only been back about a week and a half (WTF was I thinking when I left?? lol)

Anyway, I've been using Recount to track DPS on different rotations, particularly while solo-grinding, as there's so many different ways to kill a mob as a lock these days and I'm looking to max DPS. Here's my problem:

The other day, without any changes from me, Recount quit resetting itself every fight, which means I have to remember (and take the time, which sucks when grinding) to manually hit the reset button, then click "yes" when it asks if I'm sure. I'm probably missing something somewhere but I can't for the life of me find a checkbox or option to have it reset every fight. I've tried the command-line "maxfights" switch, setting it to 1, but that does nothing.

Halp!

Re: Need a little help with Recount

This might be down to being "reset" to overall fight data.

Recount is able to show:
1; Overall fight data
2; Current fight data
3; fight 1 data etc

I'm guessing your recount got "reset" to Overall fight data where it used to be at Current fight data.

If you still have all the options available in the top of recount you should be seeing 2 page symbols. 1 with a red / in it to reset data and 1 without. Clicking on the one without lets you choose what kind of data you want it to show.

Sorry if this is somewhat vague. I'm currently at work and can't log in to wow and get more detailed.
