Event Alert
Hello all. I mentioned this addon while talking about Event Horizon and Comix, but I felt that it needed its own thread. Event Alert. It puts an Icon with countdown smack in the middle of your screen (can be repositioned and sized) and currently for Warlocks it recognizes Decimation, Molten Core, AND Life Tap...along with the usual affliction/destro procs. I've found it better to grab my attention and not get lost in the screen effects than Power Auras, it also has several options for audio alert along with the full screen flash that I usually associate with having pulled aggro. Because it makes use of icons, sounds, and effect that are already in the game it uses less memory than most of the other addons that I've found to do alerts. I'm really impressed with it. |

this looks like a pretty good addon, might give it a shot. At the moment i am looking for a good buff reminder. something that will let me know my spellstone has run out, or my armor needs to be recast, and especially let me know i need to cast soul link, i keep forgetting that and i wonder why my health drops so drastically. at the moment i am using "annoying buff reminder" and the name says it all, it is really annoying and doesn't work really well. i also tried power aura and i can't get it to work, the framing on the UI is really messed up, probably because it hasn't been updated in so long. either way, is there a better addon out there that would do this?

I think i had this at one time and could never get it to work, i will check it out though and see what i can do with it now. does it let you know if soul link is not up? annoying buff reminder works "ok" with everything, it does show soul link is missing, but one problem i am having with it is it shows a reminder to cast soul link every time i mount or dismount. that is kinda crappy.

hmm, i'll give it a shot anyway, may like it better than my current setup... does anyone know how to use power aura really well. i am absolutely lost with it, i could not get it to work at all. any small tutorials out there i don't know about?

this isn't a bad guide, but then again, i haven't actually tweaked powerauras to this extent (yet). World of Warcraft (en) Forums - [Guide] Power Auras - Warlock Style i do agree that i seem to not notice the power auras stuff as much with all the neat new spell/boss damage effects. |

I use Power Auras - it is quite simple to set up. I use it for MC procs, Life Tap Glyph, 35% and 25% notifiers - Fel Armor, Backdraft, and numerous trinket procs. It's one mod that I would have a hard time living without. |
