Most important is that the keybinds should feel intuitive. And group them usefully so they flow easily.
If you love to spam the bejesus out of Fel Flame, don't bind it to Shift+Y. That's awkward and hindersome for no good reason. Bind it to a mouse button. Do you want to Fear ASAP, what about 'Mousewheel Up'?
e.g. Demo: bind Hellfire to 'z', Meta to Shift+z (no accident CD blowing), Demon Leap to Ctrl+z, Immo Aura to Alt+z (or have a Meta, Leap, Immo Aura macro).

These are just sounding board suggestions to get you thinking about your playstyle and how to get keybinding to be your friend, not a twilight zone of infinite posibilities.

Start with a few core keybinds that you can get to know off by heart. Don't feel your whole keyboard & mouse have to have 4 tiers of commands tomorrow.

First off, I like your sig

Second, as a reformed clicker, I do recommend keybinding and suggest you use buttontimers. There are lots of great threads and guides here on how to set buttontimers up to monitor CDs and procs. The best part about it is that you can still click your spells off of the bar if you need to strafe (yes i do click still once in a while)

Re: castsequence macro help

#showtooltip
/cast Metamorphosis
/castsequence reset=45 Demon Leap, Immolation Aura, Hellfire

This will force the macro to track the cooldown of your Metamorphosis, 4 presses to activate the whole sequence.

I read the whole thread and to my opinion, Destro Warlock is not really a macro based spec. DPS cycle is working in such a way that it is not really possible to pay attention to priorities using one bind to do it all. This is actually also why I am fond of it:-) Destro dps is like being in trance, a fast paced sequence always a bit different regarding priorities to achieve top results.
Damn! This is mighty lord of darkness and flames we talk about, not "one fingered" Paladin after all:-)

Re: castsequence macro help

/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target/5 bane of agony, haunt, corruption, unstable affliction, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, haunt, bane of agony, shadow bolt, unstable affliction, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, life tap, shadow bolt, haunt, shadow bolt, bane of agony, unstable affliction, shadow bolt

/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target/5 bane of agony, haunt, corruption, unstable affliction, drain life, drain life, drain life, haunt, bane of agony, drain life, unstable affliction, drain life, drain life, life tap, drain life, haunt, drain life, bane of agony, unstable affliction, drain life

how do these look?

Re: castsequence macro help

Horrible, do not ever macro spells and abilities into runs that can miss/absorb.

Seriously, put the buttons onto your keyboard, bind them, and learn where they are.

Re: castsequence macro help

What teons said. Also reset=5 means that it resets after 5s, so if you macro 3426326436 spells, you obviously don't want a reset like that. Still, don't do it. Castsequence macros are good, but NOT to do your full rotation. I use the following for example:

/castsequence reset=target/5 bane of agony, corruption
/castsequence reset=target/5 unstable affliction, corruption

with that I do not need corruption on a primairy keybind as affliction, which saves up one of the convenient to reach key bindings. But I really wouldn't go further then that with castseq macros.
