Question about Forte
I am moving away from Necrosis. I used it only for maintanance and am finding Forte to be superior except for one thing: Spellstone/Firestone upkeep. I was using Necrosis as a quick cast to create a Spellstone/Firestone and to cast on equipped weapon. I do not see that option in Forte. Does this functionality exist in Forte? If not, is there another addon that I can dummify creating and casting these stones? |

Re: Question about Forte
get event horizon for your dot timer and auto bar for your stones as well as other things. I made the switch a long time ago and I am a very happy raider now. |

Re: Question about Forte
i only use necrosis for its shard management, i like that it automatically moves my soul shards into my last bag. is there another (less memory eating) addon that does this? i know necrosis doesn't use a whole lot of memory, but just wondering if there is anything else out there... as for forte, i have never tried it, may have to check that out at some point.

Re: Question about Forte
Use ForteXorcist and then get Opie for things like buffs, food, etc. Then make this macro and put it on one of the rings: /console Sound_EnableSFX 0 /cast [mod:alt] Create Spellstone; Create Firestone /use [mod:alt] Grand Spellstone; Grand Firestone /use 16 /click StaticPopup1Button1 /console Sound_EnableSFX 1 This macro will attempt to make a new firestone or spellstone (with alt) and it will also attempt to put the specified stone on your weapon if you already have one. It also closes the annoying "do you want to replace" pop-up message if you already have an oil or stone on your weapon and disables sound effects so you don't have to hear the click. (Change "Grand" to "Master" under level 80.)

Another mod combo idea: Autobar + Forte works extremely well and allowed me to completely remove necrosis. Since I have used autobar anyway (it does a lot more than what necrosis does), this was a solution that worked well for me. Autobar has a warlock bar which will make your spell stone/fire stone, and it has a consumables bar which let's you use the spellstone/firestone. It's pretty easy. Also Autobar's consumables bar is really smart. So for example, if you have a healthstone available, it will use the healthstone (or show it) but if not, it will show the health pot in it's place. This is configurable of course. |
