hello all .. Iam using this addon for my Desto warlock in PvE /petattack /console Sound_EnableSFX 0 /use 13 /use 14 /cast Blood Fury /castsequence reset=combat/target Curse of the Elements,Immolate,Conflagrate,Chaos Bolt /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear() /console Sound_EnableSFX 1 the problem with this macro that it will have to wait for Confiagrate to be available and if its not it will just stop the sequence ... So I want to fix that .... and want the macro to skip Conflagrate if it's not ready and cast the next spell in the sequence ... any help ?? also is it possible to give the macro a bit of intelligence so that it won't recast a spell that it's already on the target ?? |

Otherwise we all would have some face rolling macros to spam, since you just spam it and it does the right thing for a good rotation. And we are not palas, are we? |

OK forget about this part ... I knew it was hard to be done anyway ... what matters to me now is the first part of my question ... the problem is my sequence just stops when my Conflagrate isn't ready ... so i just wanted to know if there's a code that can force the macro to go to the next spell in the sequence if the previous one isn't ready ... is that possible ?? |

Re: Help me fix this macro
No, blizzard removed that a few patches ago to prevent macros like these.

I was a The Burning Crusade player and just came back to the game ... so I missed that news ... hmmm ... I guess then I won't relay totally on macros for rotations

Yeah, you actually have to somewhat play the class now. |

Move CoE behind Immolate. That should fix it. But like everyone here said, just learn to actually play so that you don't need the macro. There is no rotation anymore, its priority's, so your hurting yourself if you rely on a fixed macro rotation. |

Keep CoE and Immolate where they are (as you want the extra damage for Immolate). Instead, switch Chaos Bolt and Conflagrate. It will give your Immolate time to ping back from the server, plus assumming you're properly speced, and get the haste proc from Conflagrate, it won't be wasted on Chaos Bolt (which has a shorter cast time and therefore less of a benefit than Incinerate). That said, don't listen to people that say you don't know how to play if you use macros. If used properly, they can improve your game play. The issue is that people tend to use macros for shear laziness, and that WILL drop your DPS substantially. This looks like a lazy macro (what happens in longer fights where you recast Conflagrate and Chaos Bolt? You cast CoE again, wasting the GCD? Not to mention Conflagrate and Chaos Bolt are on different cooldown times.) Bad raiding macro, fine for trash though. Last edited by Kimzi; November 14, 2009 at 12:31 AM.. |
