Does this type of add on exist?
I am looking for an add on, mainly for my alt healer. Basically like grid or healbot, but instead of using the mouse to click spells, using the spell bar to cast a heal when I mouse over a target. So like in healbot when you mouse over the gridded area, instead of left clicking, I could hit "1" on my keyboard and have it case flash of light (or whatever). Thanks |

Re: Does this type of add on exist?
I have not seen an add-on that will let you hover over the frame and then allow a keyboard command to pop a spell on it. Before I fell in Love with My lock I use to be a Holy Pali. I found that using a program called Clique with Pitbull raid frames gave me the best results. One of my early mistakes with clique was setting up my spells as left click and right click. I learned that you needed to set up modifiers as alt, shift or control left clicks or right clicks. That way I could still target people by left clicking and see menus by right clicking the frames. With a multibuton mouse this opens a lot of choices for spells. It does take a bit of time to remember what combination of buttons you programmed. Clique will work on the standard UI frames Pitbull is complicated to set up and has lots of options, but once you learn how to use it, I think you will like the new visuals. |

On my priest i use Clique and Grid, it is a glorious combination that i highly recommend, and configuration is pretty easy edit: Personally i have it setup so that if i shift- left click on a person in grid it cast Flash Heal, ctrl-left click cast greater heal, shift- right click cast renew. ctrl-right click cast binding heal and ctrl middle mouse button cast PW:S (for when i'm disc =D). It might take a few runs to get use to but after you know what your bindings are you can toss out exact and precise heals faster than your GCD can handle.

just create mouseover macros? eg #showtooltip Flash Heal /cast [target=mouseover, noharm, exists] Flash Heal is a flash heal macro i have on my priest replace flash heal with whatever spell you want, from penance to holy light to riptide to lifebloom use grid for raid health and mana display. I have no experience with healbot or clique since I use mouseover macros on all 4 healers ( as well as dps classes ) |

Vuhdo is another very versatile addon. I find it better than grid personally, and it has mouse over options in it. |

In arena though this is rather nice, especially against people using SpellAlert type of addons ![]() But back to the OP i'm not sure I have seen or heard of an addon that can do that. |

I use mouseover macros with grid for healing honestly any raid frames will do, pitbull has built in ones and there's a host of others but grid with plugins offers the best option for me ( as both a 10 and 25 raider ) @Hakasa, did you think i use mouse over and heal via name plates? i admit i tried that before but when you see 25+ bars ( including bosses and adds ) it gets a bit confusing. I do like the concept tho, it felt less whack a mole like Last edited by Coud; October 07, 2009 at 02:45 AM.. |

Very nice add on. Replaces so many adds and is easy to configure, but deep enough to keep tweaking. Certainly out of the box it is much harder than Healbot, but not overly cumbersome as grid / clique. For me it offers easy click healing and easy mouse over management. I know that macros can be made to do the same, but the over all management is much much better. Thanks so much! |
