Re: Mouse Control

I use my mouse and keyboard. I can look around with my left click and middle clock to turn and move that way, then I tend to continue my movements with the keyboard once my facing is right. It allows me to move one way and check another. I think that's the most fluid way.

I really struggle to get mouserun to work perfectly on certain fights, icehowl heroic will kill me the way it's working right now, so I use the mouse most of the time, but on the crashes I look round, check which way is safe and strafe to avoid it. Then turn to nuke the boss with my mouse. I'm not sure if the hybrid playstyle is best or just most comfortable. However I imagine it features the best of both world. While by not using a mouse, you're sacrificing a LOT of mobility.

I play using the arrow keys.....I am thinking this is going to be tough. I think this weekend I will just take 4-5 hours of bg's and learn.

I've done a similar set up by unbinding A and D completey. But I've left Q and E as strafe since W is foward anyways. So the only way I turn now, is holding the right click mouse button down and moving the moust left or right.

A, D, F, and shift D are my main spells now. A is Immolate, D is Incinerate, F is CB, and Shift D is Conflag. It has made a world of difference for both PvE and PvP.

Well, I've at least figured out how to do it. I set the setting click-to-move and press both mouse buttons to move forward and steer by moving the mouse. It's pretty intuitive, but I'm still no where near what I was using the arrow keys. I'm thinking at least a month to get there.

I've bound all the keys to spells or pet commands. Casting is still not good and I'm not playing anywhere near what I was because I need to think about everything and don't use the less common spells. Again, I'm thinking about a month.

I've never used the strafe keys, but have bound them to the secondary buttons on my mouse. After I've mastered everything else I'll try to work out strafing.

I use the MS strategic commander to move and control the character, and the buttons are programable.

Seems natural to move the left hand and whatever direction it moves thats where the character goes.

Sadly MS dont make them any more but you can still pick them up on e-bay
