Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
I've also got a Warrior alt, plus a good friend and her partner have just returned to WoW and rolled a Lock and a Priest, so we've got Tank, Healer and DPS sorted for any instance runs & group quests.
I've never played a Tanking class before, so I'm looking forward to it |

Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
My alt warrior got stuck at level 24 or so. I don't get playing a warrior (all my other alts are casters so that my be my destiny).
I attack a single mob of my level and get out of the fight with 1/2 of my hitpoints... is that normal?? Anybody has ANY advise to a total warrior noob? |

Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
I have a level 45 alt warrior and love to play him for stress relief. I love the fact that I can start a fight with two or three mobs (sometimes more) and live. If your in a group and have a healer you can just go nuts and dive into a whole group of mobs. The key in my humble opinion to playing a warrior successfully and with great joy; is gear, Gear, Gear. Gear is key to a warrior's survivability. I have spent a fortune keeping my warrior in good gear. In addition to money spent alot of time has been invested in running instances and warrior quests. For those in or around level thirty get the Scarlet gear and do your warrior quest for the Whirlwind Hammer. These pieces will serve you well and carry you into your forty's. Once there the temptations to go plate right away will be great but I would suggest waiting a couple of levels before making the switch. The stats on the Scarlet gear will be hard to replace until a few levels into the forty's. Also it is a very good ideal to cozy up to an alchemist for rage and health potions. Keep a good stock of these on you at all times. A warrior's life is spent best knee deep in bodies of those you have massacred!

Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
I was seriously getting burned out on the warrior, until I did 0 / 30 / 31 and have had quite a lot of fun with it. I was arms leveling, but at 70 I tank from time to time, but full on protection sucks for doing all of the level cap left over quests that make me some $.

Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
I left my Warrior who recently dinged 70 on full protection tank-spec. And to my surprise, doing the left-over quests at 70 is fun.
First of all, yes it is slow as your dps sucks. But when you do it consequently, wearing your tank gear and at all times use shield block vs melee and shield bash/reflect vs casters then you are basically invincible. I just found myself fighting 4 even-level mobs with ease, coming out with 50% HP, 2 lvl71 mobs i can also handle fine. Fights take long, but i always win. An additional advantage is that i do not need to respec for tanking this way. I can just quest and whenever a group needs a tank i am immedeatly ready to go. Even did some PvP dailies in my tank-gear and spec - just looked out for a horde healer and sticked at him like glue...shield bash, Stun, shield slam.....he shouts for help....i spellreflect the CC....melee comes to his help...i laugh while they need ages to melee me down in full tank gear, all the time stopping all heals from the healer ![]() |

Re: So I rolled a Warrior and...
A Warrior seemed limited to me so i chose to run a paladin atleast I can get into groups rather quickly (Prot paladin at 44 now) its so much fun fighting 5-6 mobs at a time. Although i have to say warriors crunch out aload of dps
