Im making a frost mage for pvp as an alt (i dont pve really). Im looking for 2 professions that can help my other char out to, my warlock.

My lock is enchanting and tailoring, so i can help out my low level mage with low end tailored gear. What should i get to help out my lock also?

I was thinking alchemy would be nice to make potions to use, at the same time i would need to take herbalism right, to really work well with alchemy? Or could i get another profession, engineering and alchemy would both really help out both characters in the end for pvp, but can they really be leveled well together?

Re: Complimentary Professions

Without a gathering skill you'll have to buy all your mats and that could get expensive. Unless, of course, money is no object.

Re: Complimentary Professions

What type of PvP? In the Arena, no consumables are allowed, so Alchemey is useless, and Engineering is mostly useless. For the BG's, thought it doesn't matter, but since you will die alot as a mage, go with Engineering/Mining.

Re: Complimentary Professions

well my lock is still going to be my main pvp char. Figure just what would help my lock out the most, he is tailoring and enchanting.

I didnt know consumables werent allowed in arena, so no health potions? Can you use things like food that boosts stamina over for xx amount of time?

Re: Complimentary Professions

I think you can use some of the BG items like food and maybe the health pots. You cannot use the vast quantity of crafted items/trinkets.

Re: Complimentary Professions

I'd say engineering and alchemy (if your purpose is BG). Engineering regardless.

I'm Engineering/Letherworking, Frost grenade and Drums of Panic are really funny in BG. As an afflic lock, a third instant terror effect (and a second instant AOE) is helpfull. Even if both items shared the same cooldown, you can use them in the right situation.
