Re: should this druid change his spec?
My take is that it comes down to how serious you are about ranking up. The stats for resto druids being so dominant in 2v2 and 3v3 are pretty hard to ignore. Yet some folks like to take on 'project builds' to make them work as a challenge and to just have fun.
If you are serious about getting a higher rank, a resto druid is easier to be more effective with. |

Re: should this druid change his spec?
There's a Balance Druid/Warlock combo that I've run into a few times in 2v2, they do really well. Druid's armory is here - The World of Warcraft Armory but it appears he/she has switched teams since hitting 2k as Druid/Warlock. if I recall correctly, they ended last season around 2200ish.
It's definitely doable, but a different playstyle. Resto Druid/Warlock is probably easier, but the spec is absolutely viable if you're willing to work at it. |

Re: should this druid change his spec?
I posted this in another thread, but here's some tricks that druids use to pwn me/my team:
Bear form -> Bash Root your pet -> Travel Form to behind pillar -> Drink Travel form behind pillar -> Cat form -> Kill your pet Go through 5-25 Star's Tears per match (1-2 ticks each) Put up Nature's grasp and MoTW (if gone) before they innervate or NS (to put Devour Magic on cooldown) Cyclone your Healer and kill your pet. Cyclone your pet to kill you (no soul link) Cyclone you to kill your healer Bear form to break mana drain Cyclone the DPS if it's attacking a pet Decurse CoW/CoT/CoEx, etc. Moonfire your healer to keep him in combat/prevent from drinking A good Resto Druid is near impossible to run out of mana, their only weakness in 2's and 3's is that they only have 1 quick, big heal (Nature's Swiftness), so if you can chain CC a druid and finish off their DPS partner(s), you're golden. A non-druid team can never outlast a evenly matched druid team - they have too many ways to protect their mana and CC multiple targets. |
