questions about subtlety talents

Ok, so I played around a good bit more on my rogue Cristobol and I gained interest in him again. I would like to further twink him out for the 40-49 bracket but I have some questions.

Here is my spec:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZZxMjohhRsxkx

The talents I'm unsure about:
Setup
Elusiveness
Heightened Senses
Master of Subtlety
Cheat Death

A possible alternative spec would be this:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=fZZxMjoMGRoxsx

What are your thoughts? I think I just picked up setup for leveling, so I can see that one going pretty easily. For battleground pvp I honestly don't see 1 combo point (which is about the only thing I ever get out of setup) making or breaking a fight. If I drop that talent, I'd pick up Elusiveness and have at least 1 point to easily put into heightened senses, which I currently do not have. Your thoughts on have 2 points in it?

On to Master of Subtlety... I attack out of steath. alot. I like to think that I am quite good at kiting people so I can drop out of combat and restealth. That being said, it's only 10% and it takes 3 talent point. Since I'm not dagger specced, it would really only be helping my hemo spam while they are stunlocked. Your thoughts? I think this is another residual leveling talent. Might be better suited in Cheat Death.

And oh boy at Cheat Death. I can't believe I underestimated this talent. Granted it's currently bugged to reduce damage by 99% instead of 90%, I think. But it saved me quite a few times when I was playing. It was the difference between getting owned by that 2nd (or 3rd) person that showed up and getting away to restealth and bandage, alert /Battleground of how many are at the mine, then get backup. Your thoughts on this talent? Things to consider are that I don't have a ton of health, although I will be working on that. Also, is the once per minute cooldown much of a factor?

What about enveloping shadows? I'd have to do serious shifting to pick it up but it seems like it would have some pretty good uses, depending on if it works on ALL aoe. Psychic scream, slare, demo shout, piercing howl... they all sounds like things that would be really nice to automatically resist 15% of. If I picked this up do you think it would be another plus to keeping setup?

Finally, does anyone know of its possible to put the clefthoof armor patches on low level items? The level requirement on the patches is a weird mechanic and I can't remember how it works.

Re: questions about subtelty talents

I'll start at the top. First, Setup will be good, because as a twink you should be dodging quite a bit, especially when using Evasion.

As for Master of Subtley, I would keep it. I love 1 shotting all the lower level's and other twinks that are eating with Ambush when I'm on my twink. That 10% could be the difference between killing them and them getting away with a little bit of health.

Even though its pretty situational, I would try to get Cheat Death. If you going to go all the way in Sub, might as well get it.

As far as Enveloping Shadows, its an ok still to have if you have the points, but I personally wouldn't try to free them up for it.

Heightened Senses is another talent you should look into. It could be the difference between you getting the jump on another rogue or druid, or them seeing you first.

As far as the leg armor goes, you just have to be level 60 to apply them, but you can put them on level 1 legs if you wanted. Just means the legs you put them on can't be soulbound already.

Re: questions about subtelty talents

awesome. Thanks for the info. I was somewhat leaning towards those decisions anyways. About master of subtlety, though... I'm not daggers. I use swords and thus do not use ambush. Still think it's useful?

mastery of sub is very nice either way. Vanish, premed, evicerate, hemo, hemo can all be done in the duration of the buff.
