The class you find most fun. I know it's the standard answer but it's true. You're not going to enjoy levelling again if you don't like your class and warlocks on a PvP server do more than fine. This is coming from someone who's character was a warlock on a PvP realm

Re: what type of alt if any
I love playing my lock but I also love playing my priest (who is especially squishy as she is holy specced). Chalk and cheese in terms of classes, but as mat2d2 said, play the class you enjoy most.
If you don't know the answer to the question, play each one for a few levels - to 20 as a minimum, but mine I took to 30. By this time you have a feel for the class and know whether you will enjoy playing it or not. |

Re: what type of alt if any
Warlocks are a lot of fun, and you'll really be able to tear stuff up on a PvP realm. I originally started with a lock on PvE, and when i switched to a PvP i went strait for a warlock. Shaman are also a blast, and with an enhancement spec, you can really do a lot of damage. Rogues are fun on PvP realms as you can usually get out of deadly fights quickly, or start deadly fights on your own terms.
It sounds to me like your just getting started in WoW (aside from your 41 levels as a lock). I would suggest making a few toons and playing them all at least until level 10-20. It doesn't take long and you get a taste as to what the classes are. Keep in mind that you really don't get a clear sense until after level 10 as that is the level most classes get there first major class core feature. Druids Shape Shift, Warlocks get VW, Rogues get poison, Hunters get a pet... etc.. so you'll want to go a little further than just level 10. |

Re: what type of alt if any
I play a level 29 feral druid (cat) as my pvp twink. It's a lot of fun & having the ability to stealth sure makes bg a lot easier. I like the druid because I can switch roles & heal if needed. Rogues eat me for breakfast though. I think if I were to go on a pvp server I'd roll a rogue. Seems whatever I roll I'm rogue fodder.

Re: what type of alt if any
I recently decided to reroll on a pvp server as a mage. It was one of the few classes I hadn't played to a high level so I figured it would be fun. While I do enjoy my mage alot, she is just 32, I miss my lock....alot. Alot, alot. If you have enjoyed the lock that much go ahead and make another. I thought 3 locks might be too much, now I am not too sure
![]() Another thing to take into consideration is what you want to do at 70. I am under the imprsssion that druids and, more so, rogues are over populated on pvp servers. It may be better to play a slightly more needed class. Really though, as everyone else has said...play what you enjoy. While I understand why Blizzard doesn't allow PVE-PVP transfers I wish I could be an exception. I want my lock back, and all her gear lol. |

Re: what type of alt if any
I am in a similar situation. I want to roll either a pally or warrior. Always healers and tanks are needed for raiding and are decent in group PvP (like arena and BG).
My guild somewhat needs more tanks so the utility of a warrior or paladin is there. However with a pally I can also heal. However I enjoy playing the warrior more, so there it is. I wonder which of those classes can "end game" group PvP or PvE better (or more desirable). As always, locks rule. |
