Hunter's race for Horde?
What race should I pick on the Horde side (oh have a Tauren Druid, lol, so that's one down).
Can't decide on that racial abilities are the best out of Orc's, Trolls, and Blood Elves. Oh I am playing PVP. Orc's, got the stun resist (have to admit, it sucks being stun, lol), but then since hunters are ranged classes, is that important? Also the blood fury, isn't that more melee? When would you use it? Trolls, they have the beserk thing, makes there attack speed quicker. Does that help with damage too? When should you use it? Is it useful? Blood Elves, same thing. There racials look cool, but would they be more for a class that is a close range one? Also, the racial that you get the archane energy, what does that do? I know you drain some mana, but what is the energy you get all about? Arrruuuuuggghhhhh, what to pick? Thanks for any feedback. |

Re: Hunter's race for Horde?
Blood Elf!!! We're soooo prreeeeetty. My Hunter's a Blood Elf, I love her. She has a chest piece at the moment that looks HOT - I'm female, it's all about the looks. Gives her nearly a completely bear back and I love it.
That said - I don't use my racials hehe. |

Re: Hunter's race for Horde?
Troll all the way, I love mine, has the best bow animation in the game IMHO.
but for PvP, pretty much leave them out of it, they dont have any skill's that are usefull in it, If you are primarily doing PvP these are the things that are good for each class. Tauren: Warstomp, great for getting a bit of distance on Warrior's, rogue's and the like. 5% more HP, nice but not crucial. Orc: Stun resist, Pet damage great choice for PvP and all round looks kinda cool. Blood Fury is like another Trinket, I would not advise it in Arena but for PvE it's great, it's sort of an Icon of the Silver crescent or another bloodlust brooch. Blood Elf: Nice silence effect good for taking down casters. Last edited by Swampish; March 27, 2008 at 06:29 PM. |

Re: Hunter's race for Horde?
Hard to beat an orc hunter's racials; troll bow boost looks good on paper but if you are going pvp chances are you will be using a crossbow. Stun resist and pet boost is great.
(I did Blood Elf because I read ElfQuest as a kid and wanted an elf that could ride a wolf. Seriously. ) |

Re: Hunter's race for Horde?
What Theleb said. I can's speak for the other races, but I love my 70 Orc hunter in pvp.
Quote:
Blood Fury buffs melee attack power, ranged attack power, and spell damage, so for hunters it boosts both your shot damage and melee damage, depending on the situation you're in. On my BM hunter, I use it with the following macro: /cast Bestial Wrath (which also casts The Beast Within) /cast Rapid Fire /cast Blood Fury /cast Bladefist's Breadth (attack power trinket) That nearly doubles my damage for 15s, and is a nasty surprise for gankers. In general, all 4 Orc racials benefit the hunter class where it counts the most, in combat. Axe skill, attack power buff, pet damage boost, and stun resist. I don't know if any other race compliments a class quite so well. |
