Resto druid and enhancement shammy

What do you guys think of this combo for 2s? I have a decently geared resto druid with +1600 healing and 368 res. I have struggled in finding a partner that I mesh well with until I randomly asked for a 2s partner in trade chat last night and a shammy replied. We went 6 and 1 last night....we kicked ***. It was alot of fun but I have no clue how far a combo like this will go though....any thoughts?

Well, in my opinion, a resto Druid and sl/sl Warlock is one of the strongest 2v2 teams out there. Another good pairing is Druid/Rogue. As a Druid, you have very strong CC available, which compliments the CC abilities of Warlocks and Rogues.

Re: Resto druid and enhancement shammy

IMO, an Enhancement Shaman is much better off paired with either a healer or another melee DPS. The reason being that the Shaman has quite a lot of buffs to offer another melee DPS, but relatively little for a caster DPS. I'm not saying that the two of you won't do well for awhile, but what I am saying is that it isn't really an optimised pairing. That being said, if s/he is the partner you can get - "some" kind of rating is better than no rating at all. Things that you should be doing as a Druid to help your Shaman partner is to stay on top of rooting his/her target, and cycloning the other opponent. You might want to play a little more on the aggressive side, with moonfire/wrath spam and stuns from the feral tree when you're able to.

As an aside, on my server at least, a resto Druid has got to be the single most sought after 2v2 partner hands down. I'm kinda supprised that you're having trouble finding someone. Bummer. Good luck though!

Re: Resto druid and enhancement shammy

I can find lots of partners its just i havent found any that i have been successful with...I do admit...I am not the best at being a resto druid...I am still learning but slowly getting better. I am starting to see the real upside to kiting around pillars, using bear charge...cycloning and rooting as much as i can...whereas before...i would just stand out in the open and get pwnd cause I was a noob...lol. I am also a clicker and really need to start keybinding macros to speed up my spells and such and minimize mistakes.

Re: Resto druid and enhancement shammy

Warlock, Hunter, Rogue, and Warrior are all better partners, but an Enhancement Shaman wouldn't be completely terrible if he's a very good player.

Re: Resto druid and enhancement shammy

having an enchance shammy myself... the only thing i have to say is, we have no "oh shit" button... cept our pvp trinket. if the shammy gets snared stunned feared etc he/she will have to rely on the pvp trinket to help.

let's say you vs a mage... mage sheeps the shammy... shammy trinket... mage frost nova shammy... shammy can't do anything...

if you open with a quick burst and kill one of your opponent then yea you'll do fine.. otherwise you prob won't get very far.

My wife play a restro druid/hunter, and this combo owned us for quite a while. The burst of the shammy mixed with cyclone is awesome
