Bummed
I found out about the mage tower website, and registered there. It wouldn't let me post anything though. Now the site is dead. I'm a bit bummed about it, I can't find a good forum about mages. EJ's the closest thing, but its a pain to have to read through horribly long, often mostly outdated threads for any information. Anyway, thought I'd vent. Anyone else here use the mage site before it went under? Do you wish it was back? |

Yup. I pulled it. It wasn't getting any visitors or use at all. I opened it because people wanted it, but no one used it. I let it go for months with no visitors or posts before I pulled it. If Mage's want to use this section, then by all means. And if there proves to be enough posts, I'd consider opening up a section just for Mages. But as it stands at the moment, not enough interest.

I'm new here, but I'd love a Mage dedicated thread. I still have some questions and struggles with playing a Mage, but I love the class for the most part. |

Mages are welcome... but you have to use the backdoor... and you have to meet in the basement, we can't let the Shadow Priests know we are associating with your type... and you can't use the "mana" Swimming Pool. you'll Arcane up the water... Shadow Water only...  J/K i have a 48 mage waiting to get leveled i may get back to him at some point... not sure yet.

lol, noted. and a note to the new Mages... Succubus life guards are not as hot as you would think... the hooves are just... well... creepy... a definite turn off. Also, there is a Felguard cannonball competition every day at 3:00 pm so be careful if your in the pool

How to do good damage with a Mage: Spec Frostfire or Fire. Cast Frostfire bolt or Fireball over and over. If you crit a bunch in a row, Cast Pyroblast. Use Combustion when it's off Cooldown, use Icy Veins when it's off CD. If you want to play Arcane, Use your cooldowns when they come up and you have Arcane Blast stacked, then use Arcane Missiles. When you go OOM Evo. If you want to try frost, you cast frostbolt over and over and use Icy Veins and pop your pet when it's off CD. The reason mages don't have a site is because mages all spam like 2-3 spells. And many mages I know have told me this. |
