Re: Next Class/Race in Line
I think get another Tank/healer class in perhaps combined, so they can spec differently as they are the shortest roels played. Well atleast on my server and most PvP battlegrounds I find are always short on healers, and heroics short on tanks and healers. If they could create a class that could do both, it would solve alot of these problems. Lst thing we need is another DPS class spammign trade ''LF2M for XXX heroic tank and healer''

Re: Next Class/Race in Line
it's because those 2 roles are the most thankless position and least rewarding in the entire RPG occupation list... ok it's valid that lvling a druid / pally / shammy / priest is borderline torture but still... anyway the problem with adding a new healer is that they'll need a niche to fit in since blizzard is still fixated on healers having a nich. priest are jack of all trades, druids = HoT, pally = single target leetness, shammy = AOE kings... new healer = ??? at least by adding a tank you're giving more options since they all have to do well in AoE single target OT / MT position. personally i see blizzard continuing to expand the list of races more then expand the list of classes, it's also easier to balance |

I'm just messing with you Bluebanana. I do think we need something in the healing department though.

Re: Next Class/Race in Line
My New Class Idea: Introduce into WoW the old Warcraft 3 Goblin Alchemist. This class would utilize a system (similar to rogue poisons) to create various Alchemic potions that would buff his over all abilities as far as tanking/healing/damaging/buffing people. Essentially, he would throw potions down on the ground to accomplish various AoE fixed location effects similar to a Shaman's totems. Mass Heals (think tranquility), Mass damage (death and decay), and various AoE damage. Plus, he could also toss potions/bombs directly at party members or enemies for great single target effects, healing, damaging, buffing etc... I think this type of class would be a lot of fun to play, would have an interesting/unique form of attack and utility for a raid that would keep it from becoming too much like classes that already exist. Here is my very lore driven take on races that might work and why I do or don't think they will: Naga - Lead by Queen Azshara of the Kaldorei. Queen Azshara, back at the time of the War of the Ancients, was the leader of the Kaldorei (whom later became the Night Elves). She, and her High Elves (those from whom we now have Blood Elves), became corrupted by the power of the Well of Eternity. Through the well they came in contact of the Burning Legion and attempted to summon Sargeras to Azeroth. Thanks to the first Druid, Malfurion Stormrage, his brother Illidan, Tyrande, and a hoste of other Kaldorei as well as the Dragon flights, and (if you follow the altered version in the novels) two visitors from the future, Rhonin (leader of Dalaran) and Krasus (of the Red Dragon Flight, whom the landing in Dalaran is named for), she was stopped. At the conclusion of this event, the Well of Eternity was destroyed ripping Azeroth apart into the many continents we now have. In the course of this action, Queen Azshara made a pact with the Old Gods to save those High Elves that were still with her. They became the Naga. Because of this allegiance with the Old Gods, her hatred of the Night Elves, and having no real reason to join the Horde, I don't believe the Naga would make for a suitable/playable race in the game. High Elves - As I mentioned above, the High Elves, lead by Illidan Stormrage (whom had filled several vials from the Well of Eternity before it was destroyed), attempted to create a new Well of Eternity at Mount Hyjal but was stopped and imprisioned. The High Elves, who craved magic, left the Kaldorei in search of a new home for themselves and eventually founded Qual'Thalas. Centuries later, Silvermoon City, the High Elves capital, was riped in two by Arthas. A great many Blood Elves were killed and they received little aid from the alliance with whom they were allied with. In honor of their fallen bretherin, most of them adopted the name Blood Elf and went on to separate from the Alliance. A portion remained allied with the Alliance and kept the title, High Elves. The High Elves are few in number but have a pretty good back story. Unfortunately it isn't as good as those of the Blood Elves and being that they're too similar I don't believe they would make a good choice for another playable race in the game. Worgen - The Worgen are actually from another dimension brought to Azeroth independently by two people. night elf by name of Sentinel Velinde Starsong, and a human Mage by name of Archmage Arugal. Velinde was tasked with clearing Felwood of demons and so she prayed to Elune for aid and was granted a powerful scythe with which she could summon Worgen to aid her. She summoned a great number of Worgen to aid her but soon noticed that some of her number were unaccounted for. Suspecting that the scythe was summoning Worgen without her knowledge. She ordered the Worgen to remain there while she sought out the Archmage Arugal. Arugal had followed the research of a fellow Mage whom studied the Worgen but never summoned them. During the Third war, when Dalaran was destroyed by the Scourge, Arugal summoned armies of Wargen to help them fight the Undead in Silverpine Forest. Unfortunately the Worgen turned on the Dalaran Mages as well. Riddled with Guilt, Archmage Arugal fled with his Worgen (children) into Shadowfang Keep. Velinde was ambushed in Duskwood while on her way to visit the Archemage and the Scythe was apparently lost. After Arugal was killed (by us players) Arthas resurrected Arugal and so many of the Worgen are now in Northrend and are allied with the Scourge. It is rumored that behind the Greymane Wall, the Nation of Gilneas has been affected with the same curse that has afflicted Pyrewood Village (the villagers turn into Worgen at 9pm realm time, check it out!). As Gilneas was once Allied with the Alliance, there is a chance that the Worgen could become a playable race for the Alliance. It also could be that Gilneas may become a future raid zone as Genn Greymane was never very fond of other nations and may still refuse to join any of them even if his people are cursed into becoming Worgen. Goblins - Goblins hail from their home city, The Undermine, located west of Stranglethorn Vale and south of the Maelstrom. The Goblins are divided by several trade princes whom each have their own private armies. For the most part, Goblins have remained neutral to Azeroth, offering their goods and services to whomever will pay. Goblins were responsible for the armor that Deathwing wears, the zeppelins the Horde uses, as well as various other technological advancements throughout Azeroth. Goblins also served the Horde during the second and third wars. Currently they play both sides by providing the Horde and Alliance with hard to get items and they have units stationed among both factions. I think the Goblins could become a playable race (most likely Horde). Their back story could center around one of the Trade Princes being out muscled by the others and is reaching out to the Horde for support. This would allow those goblins in the Alliance and Neutral cities to remain as they would be affiliated with the other Trade Princes and not the Horde Aligned one. Tuskarr - These friendly fishermen and farmers live along the coasts of Northrend. They formed an Alliance with the Horde to establish Warsong Hold, but this does not prevent them from being friendly with the Alliance faction. As a result, the Tuskarr are a neutral faction that accepts help from all sides in their struggles with the Murlocs and Gorloc. Because of their good nature and desire to remain neutral, and lack of any strong story line to sway them one way or the other, the Tuskarr probably will not become a playable race in the near future. We most likely will see them turn up again with the Maelstrom expansion. Murlocs - I feel the need to depart from my lore driven response to say this... Murlocs, Seriously??? I doubt any race would be able to understand them, let alone form an Alliance with them. Back to lore: I do think that if the next expansion is indeed, about the Maelstrom, we will find that one of the final bosses is Queen Azshara and her Naga. I believe that we'll find ourselves allying with a Murloc faction that is currently being enslaved by the Naga. I read something a while ago that spoke of the fact that more and more Murlocs are showing you on Azeroths shores and it speculated that they were moving from the oceans to the shore due to something dark and evil in the ocean. My guess is that Queen Azshara has found yet another Old God deep beneath the sea and she and her Naga kin are his army. We'll learn that they've been hunting and enslaving the Murlocs to do their bidding.

I would love to see a Gunner class that only uses guns and no bows, with maybe a few Shadow spells. Like Doomslinger or something. And they can oppose the pirates of bloodsail buccaneers |

Goblins and Wolvars (Worgen subtingy) has pretty much been confirmed as next new races by datamining. ![]() All tho they could always change their minds ![]() I personally think that Highelves would be a nice addition to the alliance side, and maybe ogre to the horde side |
