in short you grab darkness later priest leveling is about smite spamming for the first 20 to 40 levels and along the way you'll realise a ) your damage output suck b ) your spells cost alot c ) you have no pushback resistance unlike DKs who start at 55, we start at 1 and since we don't have 30+ talents points to dump straight off the bat you go for talents that help improve regen and reduce mana usage first. if you do that by the time you reach 40 point a and point b should largely be resolved... if not dispersion at 60 is epic win by the time you get to 50, you should have gotten your pushback resistance talent and can weave mindflay into your mob killing rotation more often |
