dealing with double warrior teams in 5v5 arenas

My arena team consists of:
Me
Rogue
Warrior
Holy Paladin
Resto Druid
and we have a really hard time deal with teams that stack two warriors. If they get on me, they cut through my life very, very quickly (I'm at 13k with kings/motw/commanding shout and 186 resil), but if the paladin and druid pay attention they can keep me up with heals. if they go after the druid, I sit there helpless. I get a 2 second stun every 20 seconds and a deathcoil to peel them, but that's about it, since practically every pvp warrior has deathwish.

Any ideas on what I or the rest of my team can do?

Re: dealing with double warrior teams in 5v5 arenas

Two warriors is really tough, especially against a warlock without lots of points in demonology.

The main thing I would suggest is to stay in the back and out of line of sight initially. In Nagrand, hide behind a pillar and in Blade's Edge stay behind a column. The idea is to do whatever you can to prevent the opponent's warriors from being able to charge you right off the bat. In the best case scenario, they may decide to attack someone else on your team because you're not accessible. This is ideal because your teammates all have more survivability than you; furthermore you'll be left free to dish out your heavy burst damage. In the worst case scenario, the warriors will reach you but they'll be fighting behind obstructions and will hopefully be out of line of sight of their own healers/dispellers and thus susceptible to roots other cc, and dps. If it looks like you're going to die no matter what, I'd save your shadowfury/deathcoil/backlash procs for the assist train. You might luck out and help your warrior and rogue get a kill right before you die - it's much better to die leaving your team with a possible 4v4 rather than a 4v5 with two enraged warriors.

If you get targetted, I think your druid has to cyclone one of the warriors if at all possible (which not only stops their DPS but also depletes them of rage when the effect wears off), and the holy paladin just has to do his best to heal through mortal strike. Blessing of freedom and blessing of protection may need to be reserved for you as well, though these are often hard to execute and easily dispelled.

I would strongly suggest not using shadowfury or deathcoil to interrupt the warriors because of your team's light healing capabilities and, as you say, because of abilities like death wish. Both of these spells do damage and will increase the warriors' rage, which is extremely bad. While using these spells on warriors can be useful in some situations, I think that most of the time it hurts much more than it helps so you might want to try getting out of this habit, at least to test it.

Instead, I think your best shot is to assist your warrior and rogue and help drop their target. You are specced to be able to dish out quick burst DPS, so doing anything else (like focusing too much on temporary cc, especially on the warriors) is a mistake imo. In fact, it seems to me that your team would really depend on you to provide that extra DPS. I would think that in almost all cases a warrior + rogue would not be able to cut it by themselves. So add your DPS to the assist train and I think you'll have a much better chance of winning.

To give you a quick example, I used to spam curses and fears most of the time until our team realized that I was over CCing. We found that we really needed extra burst DPS from my end to help our warrior/shaman assist train.

It also seems like your assist train will greatly benefit from just a little bit of well-timed CC from you. If you can land a spell lock, death coil, shadowfury, or some type of interrupt on one of your opponent's main healers right as your assist train has almost dropped their target, and then finish the job with some quick dps (esp. from shadowburn), I think you'll win a lot of games. It's a lot of work, but such is the life of a warlock =)

As far as your team is concerned, I think your warrior and rogue need to pick the squishiest target they can find and dish out as much dps as possible. Your paladin will have to do all he can to keep your warrior free from cc, and your druid will be busy throwing heals and cyclones around.

What about having the Pally pop blessing of protection on you when that happens. That's 12 seconds of being immune to physical damage. That should be enough to dot them and get off a HoT. Course you can still get blasted by magic, but that would probably ruin their assist train on you.

One thing I've found useful is to put the warrior in combat ASAP, so they don't get the initial charge/rage. Best to sic a pet on them so you don't have any team members face the wrath of a Focus-fire-fest.
