Also, if you have problems with rogues, I have a secondary bar with all of my rank one affliction insta-cast spells. If a rogue suddenly has 3 dots on him, odds are he'll pop CloS before he notices "wait...these are doing 40 damage per tick..." Make sure you don't burn your Deathcoil or insta-howl of terror immediately either. If the rogue catches on and DOESN'T CloS, just replace the dots with higher level ones and fight as normal.

The key is to keep a mental count of how long is left on their CloS so you don't waste anything (HoT, Skill Coil, or Nightfall procs) on them that would be hugely beneficial otherwise.
Never thought of that.....hmmmmm

Its an add-on which monitors (Amongst other things) Rogue CloS durations, Mage Iceblocks, Seductions, bascally anything on a timer in your immediate vicinity.

Essentially, as soon as your nemesis hits "Iwin" you know to the second when it finishes, and you can time DoTs/Fears/Nukes/Dance as appropriate.
Do you know how this compares to Antagonist???

Re: Affliction PVP sequence help please

I actually have a PvP cast sequence macro that works really well...

/petattack
/castsequence reset=combat/target Shadowburn, Siphon Life, Curse of Agony, Corruption, Death Coil, Fear, Unstable Affliction, Immolate, Shadowburn
/em farewell

Of course, having the mental agility and dexterity to cast your spells individually to fit the situation is ideal, and if you get the drop on someone, it's nice to get your spells with a cast timer off first, but this works well for those "twitch" situations were you need to get your instant-casts off first, and apply a little crowd control.

This would be a bad idea in group PvP, and anytime you switch targets, the macro obviously resets itself.

Versus rogues, being a tailor is somewhat helpful. It's a lot of fun watching them try to CLoS out of a netherweave net. (Not a magic effect, so it sticks.)

Sorry, no I haven't tried Antagonist - for the simple reason that NECB has always done what I have asked of it. If I get chance I'll go DL Antagonist and test it out.

Re: Affliction PVP sequence help please

If there is a dispeller on the other team, I'll usually throw up UA first. If there isn't then I'll do all my instants, corr >> SL >> Curse of Agony and depending on whats going on, immo and UA.

If it's a caster I'll make sure Curse of Tongues is on and if it's melee that's chasing me or one of my healers I'll put CoEx on him. You can't expect to have the same cast sequence and spells for all class combinations. I would totally stay away from cast sequence macros in arenas, it simply doesn't let you think on the fly enough. Sometimes you're going to need to fear, sometimes you wont be able to get a cast off b/c of a kick/stun/pummel. Curse of Tongues is much better than Curse of Agony on a healer, it makes it so the healers are vulnerable to a counterspell/kick/pummel/silence/spell lock. This is the key to winning games, you wait until there is a clutch heal that is needed and counterspell them while your dots are ticking away, at the end of the counterspell you target them back and fear them, they will trinket out of it, you death coil then fear again, if your opponent isn't dead, your dots suck and your partner sucks, thats about 12 seconds of zero heals.

1. Corr 1st gives me the best chance of a NF proc even if I can only get the one dot off due to a stunlock, sheep etc.
2. UA on a modifier allows me to choose to blast it off if I have time, but keeps my sequence all instant so I can keep moving if I have to.
3. Curse of Agony last in the sequence allows me to choose to stop clicking the sequence button and use a Tongues or Exhaustion if needed. Saves a bit of mana or re-applying.
4. SB is only used when NF procs, making it instant and castable on the move as well.

I've found that tab-targeting and spamming every dot in my instant sequence on every member of the opposition puts them in a tough spot. They have to either heal themselves, heal the party members, dispell themselves or dispell the party. All of those actions force them to NOT focus on something too, which the team will try to use to its advantage. If the healer focuses on someone else, GG the healer... if it focuses on himself, GG their squishiest team member while the healer is dealing with itself. Plus, all dots x5 is 4-5k of overall damage to the party, per tick. Pretty useful imo.

How do you set up a key to do a cast sequence? Thanks.

Re: Affliction PVP sequence help please

What are the best mods for click-casting a sequence like that? Thanks!
