I have been thinking about the two meta gems as well, I currently use the 50% to cast speed, and honestly, I would really really miss it if I gave it up. Others have said it, but I don't think you understand the power of a 50% increased mana drain in 2v2, or a 1 second howl of terror. As a dot spec, it procs a ton, and its not uncommon to get several procs in a row. For example, played a pally rogue team earlier today, they killed my pet, pally managed to get to 100% mana again, and three meta gem procs later, he was down to 30% in short order. He actually bubbled to stop my drains cause they were ticking ungodly fast. I love that gem. |

Hmm see your point, especially with the 50% cast gem. This was actually the one I was least likely to go with, as I thought I wouldn't benefit from it, due to the global cooldown limitation, thus no benefit on casting the insta dots. Think 50% cast is way to go, am 23/38/0 spec, so could use some burst damage while gearing up. |

The buff from MSD cuts the time a channeled spell (used to just make DD spells instacast) takes so DL runs for only 2.5 secs but you get the full benefit of the spell as if it were cast normally.

I think I'm gonna switch my PVP helm out for my PVE goggles w/ the MSFD. and see how it works. The more I think/read about the possibilities, the cooler it seems. |
