Too bad this doesnt work 1v1. I ended up having to fight 1v1 a druid as affliction (since our partners died) and after 47 minutes of doting mana draining and fearing and everything we ended up so bored (since noone wanted to leave) that he was hiting my pet with his hands as a tree and me standing watching them healing the felhunter from time to time. Then we rode around the tomb (that was ruind of Lorderon) with our mounts and bullshit like that. I guess its only fair. But isnt there suppose to be a time limit and draw for bullshit like that? I think at the end he left or disconnected but the game was 47 minutes. |

I remember spending about 15 mins in arena killing a resto druid. My partner was dead and so was his, he kept pillar hugging / going out of LoS. Basically i just kept my felhunter on him and devouring everything i could. Shadowfury+fear to avoid him LoS'ing, drain mana while he is feared and you will get him eventually. I did try to burst him down but found that close to impossible without some extremely lucky crits. |

As destro it works due to the burst - just try that with affliction. 3 fears DC HOT Devour magic and spell lock are not enough - still casts occasional heal enough to keep him alive. Drain the mana to 0% - switches to travel form or bear untilt the fraking spell that gives them mana comes back. With CoEx I can hardly follow him. Bottom line for this they should allow to switch spec in arena. I have never had so much trouble as destro. |

Pretty Accurate, i actually have it down to a pretty good science in bgs and in duels. Havent had the chance in arenas, but i am willing to bet as long as i have a healer I should be fine, considering I tend to get attacked by 2-3 people while eating a druid healer, and survive with my healer watching my back. Anyway-stun lock destro lock not saying this is only way, just my method most times. Shadowfury>CoEl>fear>immo>conflag>dc>fear>chaos bolt>incin>incin. Most times they make the mistake of trying to break that first fear, but not immediatly and with that done you want to have your dc popped (basically just dc when they trinket-which again should happen after frist fear) follow with another fear then nuke. without a second healer on them I have yet to see the druid in bgs or duels that lives through this even with their hots on-ive done it with imp and felpup but ofc I recommend a felpup on auto dispel and if you're REALLY lazy autosilence, but its best to silence manually when they break fears. Try it out see if you like and let me know

what you say is true - however that assumes you are destro - you cant change spec in arena. If you are affliction you dont have the burst. If you go to the demo tree your SB are like 3 seconds. Witing for nigthfall is s**t cause it procs when you dont really need it - if you decide to suck life they swith to travel and out of range before the healthfunnel procs twice ... anyway I discussed this already. Try affliction vs a good PVP tree healer. I did everything manually - I'm not a noob. Honeslty I cant tell you if that druid was not better geared than me - that could be the reason too. |

I play 2v2 usually as Resto Shaman/Destro Lock, (sometimes Ele Shaman too - plus I have a rogue partner that is never online, lol...)...anyway, last night it seemed as if more than half the teams we faced had a Resto Druid. One particular fight that I remember specifically, because I used Soul Fire on the Druid, lol, went like this: (Druid/Warr) The Warrior charged my healer and I Feared him and started to burst him to force the Druid to pop, and when he did I Banished him twice (I was still hit switching to the Warrior to keep the damage up obviously), and then the Druid came out of Tree form to try to Cyclone me and I caught him with a Seduce (which he then used trinket) and I re-Seduced him. This made the Warrior switch to my pet (which broke Seduce), and then I used Shadowfury on both him and the Druid and I was able to just barely kill the Warrior before he killed my pet and before the Druid was able to heal him. The Druid then tried to obstacle hump and kite, but I Banished him again and Life Tapped x3 (as I was almost out of Mana), then Banished again and I wound up a Soul Fire (lol) which hit him as soon as he broke free of Banish, and I followed that up with a Deathcoil > CoE > Immo > Chaos Bolt > Conflag > Shadowfury > Incin > Shadowburn > Searing Pain = Dead Druid. =)

Re: How to beat a Resto Druid
You folks make that sound too easy, I know I need some more work now lol...I was basically stuck in a 2v2 and couldn't kill the Druid...after 10 min of just me and him (i'm Affliction) I /waved and Hellfired. 10 min is a long time trying to chase someone around pillars lol .....wish I would've thought of that Drain Mana.....
