so many things at once in arena

So i mostly play my 3v3 team which consists of a warrior, pally and me. It seems that i have to do so many things at once (dotting people. fearing, and dealing with my pet), and they each do one thing. They always QQ at me for not doing something like not dotting somebody, but at that same time im trying to spell lock one guy and fear the other. Does anybody else have experiences like this. People always say locks take no skill, but we take the most micro of any class IMO.

/focus is your friend, as is clear communication. Pick a Focus Fire target, drop DoTs and Sburn (if you have it), then fear/CoT/Spell Lock/Mana Drain the healer.

Re: so many things at once in arena

I would say that Arena is faster than Battlegrounds (unless you get zerged) which itself is faster than any PvE.

Some matches in 2vs2/3vs3 last less than 20 seconds after first hit. That's 13 instant spells/abilities if you chain them perfectly. Using the Insignia and your Healthstone counts as one Glocal Cooldown. 3 instant Dots = 4.5 seconds = 3 GDs.

My point is that you have to decide very very wisely what to do. There is only three things you could do in the 1.5 seconds between actions:
- Talk (TS/Vent required until 2.2.)
- Run
- Pet actions
The second issue explains you should focus on instant casts as much as possible.

I know a lot of people who say Arena is far to hectic for them.

Re: so many things at once in arena

Have you tried the following?

1. Bind all the keys on you keyboard to all your spells. (Especially fear)
2. Wrap your head in bubble wrap. (To avoid brain damage)
3. When the time comes for area, simply mash your face against the keyboard.

Guaranteed to win every time, if you’re a lock.

(*P.S - This is humor*)

Re: so many things at once in arena

just start off with the instant dots on the target your gonna focus, then put cot(curse of tongues) on their healer and fear him and then nuke the target you and your team are focusing on but keep an eye out on the healer for a silence.

all this is abit easier for me due to a 2x affli lock+ resto druid setup(which is insane btw:P)

Re: so many things at once in arena

On my 5v5 team I'm the designated Pally killer. I spec for UA to do this. We have our other two DPS focus fire whoever we feel can be downed the easiest or is the biggest threat (Shamans and Shadow Priests are the usual targets). I run straight for the Pally, attack with Felhunter, UA, CoT, Fear, Corr, SL, interupt his first two heals with Spell Lock and Death Coil. He'll usually bubble within the first 5-10 seconds of the fight. As soon as he bubbles I switch to the focus fire target. It works like a charm. Once the Pally has blown his bubble he's an easy kill.
