Re: warlock vs. hunters
again...:
-carry healthstone and pvp potions from extra AV marks , just in case. -ignore pet -DC then fear hunter , if BM on, abuse LoS for 15 seconds while insta dotting before the dc/fear. -while hunter is feared, cast your best rotation and better be short casting time unless you have a talent to avoid interrupt. Retarget if he feign death. -refresh fear -nuke/drain life whatever you are better at.... they can burst faster than us, only way to break that is with a fear. -Stanis |

![]() Shadowfury is your friend as a destro lock against hunters. Shadow fury them, which is 2 seconds of free casting time to cast your fear. Curse of weakness the pet, and blast the crap out of the hunter. If you don't kill him in the duration of the first fear, deathcoil him and fear him again, and pewpewpewwww. Shadowfury is your friend. It works wonders for me against just about everyone. |

Re: warlock vs. hunters
If you are destro, then you probably have one of the easier fights amongst all specs.
1) Curse of Weakness on the Pet. This is not optional. Then you can ignore the pet afterwards. The pet will providee you with all the backlash procs you can use. This is why destro builds can beat hunters. 2) Dot the hunter, this put some pressure on him and he cannot remove them. 3) If he is BM, don't bother with fear. If he is MM, use your spellstone to dispel that silencing shot. 4) Make sure you stay in his melee range, avoid being shot at all times. If you start from max range, use your mount to approach him. 5) Save those deathcoil and shadowfury when he is not using the beast within. 6) Don't be afriad to stand and cast your immolate in melee range. I sometimes even try Soul Fire. Sure, the pet is beating on me, but i am sure you know the beauty of getting a backlash proc while casting soul fire. 4.5k soul fire crit, 3k shadowbolt crit. Again, with the BM hunter unable to be CCed for 18 sec, and him having relatively little to CC you (Scatter shot or intimidation don't last that long), this fight is a pure dps fight. Use your shadowburn, burn your cooldowns, use your healthstone/pots/trinkets, it is a pure burst damage fight. Also, the fight is also quite gear dependent as we are trying to outburn eachother, so having that resilience and health is going to help. |

Re: warlock vs. hunters
I have a level 55 MM hunter and a 52 lock.
lately Ive been picking on those green or pink hair short locks with my hunter. I do feel bad about it sometimes. The 3 biggest reasons I can beat a lock? 1. I get the jump on them. Im not one to jump you while you are fighting a mob. But I know how long it takes for my aimed shot to get off and how long before my pet gets there. I want my aimed shot to hit ya first. Then let the pet get there. 2. Fear me! Please.. if you want to live fear me every which way you can. 3. Lately Ive fought locks without a demon. I dont understand why, things that make me laugh with pvping a lock. if you are SS. dont pop right back up. I have tracking. You show up as soon as you rez. I will come back and kill you again. Now you have to do a death run. duh! dont run away from me. I can run faster. I have a fast pet and I can slow you down with a conc shot. things that make me run and hide from a lock. a felguard. They really really hurt. |

Re: warlock vs. hunters
I saw good advices in this thread but:
It's true that a felguard, or a SB crit hurts. But a hunter hurts a lot more! My friend's 1600AP BM 32%crit hunter in pvp equip crits autoshot for 1400. And he has a feral druid around him (me for example with my alt) he has 37% crit. Insane. On top of that , he being healed from spirit bond (2% his life every 10 secs) plus my improved Leader of the pack (4% theyr health every theyr crit (6sec cooldown)). I simply cast Si/Li on all enemyes, and that sometimes keeps me up long enough that my dots eventually will kill him, or until i kite him in between my friends. Veeeery rare.
