Related question to this topic:

Is it better to do massive BG's at 65-69, save your honor/marks, then at 70 you can immediately be more competitive as you get better gear right away?

Just wondering....

That's what I'm trying, though I often get yelled at for not being 70 and going to Alterac Valley. The other BGs are usually composed of anywhere from 60-69, but rarely 70s. The only problem with this is getting to revered or exalted in order to buy the gear. Despite having around 40 marks for AB, and 20 or so for WSG and AV, I'm only friendly with all of them, nearly honored with the Stormpikes.

And in relevance to the thread:
Don't forget about Fel Domination. I've used it several times in order to beat up a priest or Paladin or throw a bubble on themselves while my Felguard is out, only to quickly summon a Felhunter, eat their bubble, then fear away. Plus a Felhunter is just helpful in almost all situations, in my opinion. About the only class it can't help a lot against are hunters and warriors.

Re: demonology lock lookin to improve in AB

At 68 I think the chance to hit a 70 becomes more reasonable, so that's when I started running AV and did fairly well (even topped the charts in damage and kbs once -- though as affliction so easier to dot and run and still get credit). With regards to the other three, I found that as a 67-69 I did a LOT better as I would often run up against levels <65, which were usually a piece of cake at that point. So when I hit 70 I had a ton of marks, which was good because on my server it's a lot easier (as horde) to run AV just to gain honor than it is to do some of the other BGs.

I wouldn't hold back your leveling too much though just because of that, unless at 70 some BGs in your battlegroup are just impossible to win. Early 70 was a pain as you occasionally run up against the S3 geared enemies, but it quickly gets easier (I still don't have full S1 and can do *okay* to very well in most BGs). If you can fill in your holes with some of the blue honored rep gear and gem/enchant it as you progress you'll do fine. After about a month of running BGs, I finally started 2v2 and 3v3, which scared the crap outta me at the beginning, but to be honest, it's a lot of fun.

Another tip for the OP -- if you see a rogue / druid approaching from far away, you can sick your pet on them before they stealth and your pet will still seek them out. Did that twice last night with a FG on the same rogue. It's nice when you can absolutely ruin a stealther's match for them.

Slighly off topic, but Paladin bubbles (Divine Shield) cannot be devoured by Felhunters. Priest yes.

The Felhunter is quite helpful vs MM hunters, you can devour Silencing shot off yourself which is HUGE. You can also use Spell lock on the hunter to avoid Arcane shot (not too useful..but still)

You can send your felhunter to spell lock the warrior to put him in combat so he cannot charge. Also, you can also use spell lock on a warrior to prevent him from doing his AOE fear for a few sec..

Blessing of Protection (Or whatever it's called) can be devoured. Or at least ONE of the Paladins shields can be devoured. All I know is, I can generally eat one of the shields of a paladin in BGs
