Need a couple of arena stat tips please =)

As I don't really know exactly what to aim for now.

I'm currently in PvE spec/gear for raids, but in pvp stuff, and pvp spec.

I would guess I have around 13k hp unbuffed, and 502 resilience. I also have 1033 spell damage, which would increase with demonic aegis and demonic knowledge if I spec that way.

I could renew some gems on my pvp gear (swap blue gems for epics etc), so does any of the above need improving, or should I just get as much hp as possible?

I've been stacking Haste, really enjoying it so far (well, besides the 3-4k spent on regemming to epic gems).

Da-yum. With stats like that I'd think all you'd need to aim for would be avoiding sore feet from kicking so many butts.

Hm, hope you're right. I just respecced for a few days to try it out, not done arena in a long time. =]

Your gear is very sufficient..... just get into arenas and start kicking...lol.

P.S. Grtiz, how much haste have you stacked? And do you mind sharing whether it is a worthwhile stat to stack? (relevant to this topic).

1) Is the benefit primarily the lowering of the GCD?
2) Or things like faster fear casts?

I know there have been threads on theorycrafting, but would like to hear from real world performance, thanks.

I have 126 (I think) haste, for about a 7% decrease in casting time. With the 4pc bonus, my fears went from 1.3 to about 1.23 - not much of a difference - but enough that I can more frequently beat a cyclone/sheep/LHW/FoL etc. I'm not sure how much the GCD is reduced by, but I can definitely feel a difference when spamming DoTs, compared to my full resilience/spell damage set.

I have 69 (4.4%) haste and I don't notice it at all.

I'll probably try stacking a bit more (battlemaster trinket, subjugation ring(s)) in the future and see if it's worthwhile, but it's really hard for me to convince myself not to just stack damage because spell damage is so awesome.
