Seed of Corruption in Battle Grounds

Last night I was in AV.

It was one of those we'll meet in the middle and fight and forget about any objectives kind of a game.

I suggested that we forget the middle and go grab sp gy and move from there. Got a couple of responses about this being old school way of winning AV so thought I'd go with it.

At one point some one asked who was bombing us and I realised that we were being hit with seed of corruption. It's a wonderful reminder of it's power so I decided I'd give it a try.

During a phase where we had pushed the enemy back past the SH graveyard I decided to make use of terrain and plant Seed of corruption on a few allies (they were packed in pretty tight).... and then I triggered it. I have to say it was lovely (and very funny) to see a screen fill with yellow damage numbers - and I was still laughing to myself when I suddenly became target number one and died.

What a wonderful spell to use in a BG - anytime I see a bottleneck and a group of alliance I'm gonna spam SoC.

I love being a lock.

Is it true that, Seed of Corruption at one person in a group of BGs can decimate an entire group of enemies by acting like an AoE bomb??? I read about this attack but it seems too cheap to be possible. Very excited.

I've been trying that, try to put on a few people in AV while the horde are all bunched up at the valley before the final grave yard. Once I manage to get a 3 seed reaction to go off, "Killing Blow" message poped all over my screen (there might be a snake trap there).
But still, I think it's kind of just for fun type of deal.

Yup makes the lock top damage in almost every av :D

Except when a lock uses it on a lock... shadow ward til dispelled.

I only recently started doing it, very useful.

But yeah, spam SoC on top of their GY.

Actually the only places it's really useful is when there's a ton of people at the choke spots in AV. You know where they are: the bend before SP gy, the spot near IW bunker, IB gy, the entrance to the lower and upper FW keep.

The AV of lately however there is almost no resistance from either side because both horde and alliance would much rather "10 minute win or loss" than spend another 5-10 minutes fighting.

Since my video card is acting up and cant play wow, i find the time to try and be useful ;)

try those:

1. 5 man heroics: with a good pala tank,,, just seed, tab, seed, tab, seed.. till you see 2 mobs only on him.. works like a charm and you get your 40 min runs.. if theres more AOEers in the group thats even better.

(try the following on melee)

2. Farming with a mage (frost better): Let him get on his mount and take a big circle pulling all the mobs around.. once he gets closer to you start seeding.. by the time he gets off his mount and freezed them you got around 4 seeds on them... arcane explosion (while you continue seeding) and let everyone around wonder where the hell did all the mobs go ;)

3. Farming alone (shadowfurry): its bit tricky.. send your VW to one.. 1 hit then the next mob while you seeding the first... continue till you get 4 mobs or so and then shadowfurry and bam... nice loot.

this depends somehow on your gear/mobs level... but i find it loads of fun... I tried it also with a healing pala with concentration aura but it wasnt that gr8... Im sure others can come up with nice combos as well.
