Arena Matchup question

I have was wondering if anyone else was seeing crazy matchups in the arena since the season started? Currently, I am rated between 1600-1640 or so and being capped there. It seems like as soon as we close to 1650 then all of our matchups are either duelist rivals or glads!! Just wanted to see if anyone else was seeing this, and everyones thoughts if its going to be that way from now on or what. Thanks

As far as I know relatively few people crossed the 1900 yet, mostly because too many good teams are eating each other's rating at 1700-1900. Long term will change that indeed, but for now it's really like that.
It's funny, as soon as your opponent is above 1650 is appears to be mandatory you have a Druid in 2vs2... I swear we didn't have a single team above that without one :-).

Makes sense too, a well played druid is the most OP class in 2v2.

I think it will just take a bit of time to things to sort itself out.

yea i hear you on the druid comment, they are def tough. I really dont have problems with druids by themselfs, its when a rogue is spanking me and i cant get off a fear :O

I'm running around 1650 too with pala, can't seem to get to 1700. funny thing is we have been beating war/druids but losing to what i used to consider silly teams. When confronted with rouge/healer it is very hard to win as they do incredible dam which suck because their pvp build should be gimped like ours

Yeah, I've seen blue posts in the past where Blizzard states that they are trying to even out the different classes (and to a degree specs) throughout arena. Druid is by far the most OP class for 2s and they know it. They just haven't done much to change it.

They nerfed the snot out of locks for arena and it shows. Now they have locks fairly balanced through all arena brackets.

I'm paired with a druid for 2s and we always struggle against war/druid and rogue/druid groups. Sometimes we manage to steal a win, but usually the druids counter each other and then rogue/war>my warlock most of the time.

As for unusual team makeups I haven't seen too many effective unusual pairs. My 2s team is still hovering around 1500-1550. We get to face all kinds of fun/easy groups still. Double shamans, double rogues, mage/pally, etc. We blow through most of those, however.

My 3s team is a little higher rated (1623 last week) and hasn't struggled with any particular makeup yet. We're lock/priest/rogue. Typically when we fail it's because we had bad positioning in the beginning or the other team just far outgears us. I started the season with about 260 resil, but am now up to 430. Our rogue is 400+ as well but the priest is still <300, so he can get rocked quickly at times.

yes its weird, there has been so many ups and down I don’t know what to do. We just hit 1650 the other night, and go greedy and almost hit 17..hit 1689, then all of the sudden we matched up with war-dru or rog-dru , and it just go worse..to the point of breaking things in the house. Now when I powered down my pc last night we were at like 1580 something which is rediculous. Have to hit er hard to get to 17 before next tues

Yea you are running the same combo as i am, the only diff is my priest and i are both near the cap of resil, and of course rogues resil doenst make as much diff as it does for us clothies..We were 1700 and ended up about 1648, should be able to hit 17 easy as we ran out of time to get more matches in!
