Grinding Honor at 69

Hello,

As a lock is it worth grinding honor at 69? I only have pve gear and want to start on my journey towards some nice pvp stuff but im not sure what the best way is to do so. With so many threads about what gear is best, no one really mentions the most efficient way to start out. At least I havent seen it. Any advice would be great! Thanks.

Cool thanks I looked over it, lots of good info! I still wonder if its better to stay at 69. A lot of that gear looks great but im not sure if its worth getting at 69 unless you want to quasi twink.

Nah, not really worth it at 69, in my experience, for the following reasons:

AV: Fast queue times, fast honor, but you will get destroyed by all the 70s.
AB/WSG/EotS: average 15-30 minute queue times. 300 honor an hour FTL.

Granted, if you have fast queue times in your Battle Group, then it's totally worth it, just because a 69 Lock can own just about anything in the 60-69 bracket.

I'd stick around to farm 100 marks from AB/WSG/EotS if the queue times in your battlegroup aren't bad. You'll get 100 marks from AV really fast at 70, so having the mark cap right off the bat will allow you to do a lot of mark turn-ins while still having the marks you need for S2 set/S4 off-set gear.

The problem I have with that is:

AV Marks: 89
WSG marks: 54
AB Marks: 3
EotS Marks: 0

What I've started doing to make sure I don't burn through the far less plentiful AB/EotS marks is to set aside all the ones I need (eg, 40 AB for Belt, 10 EotS for Neck, etc), then once I have all the marks set aside that I need for the season, I'll do the 4xMark turn in quest every opportunity I have.

I kinda do the same, i make sure none of my marks get under 80,and if they do i farm them back up...and do the 4x turn in so the marks stay at around the 80 mark
