Re: God I hate Rogues
Assuming equal gear, we have a decent chance. Resilience definitely helps. (Though not when they have S3 weapons...)
btw, you can dismount during a stun...... .....whether you will make it through the stun is another matter. |

Re: God I hate Rogues
Yeah, rogues are typically considered the most difficult class for a lock to take down, especially if they get the jump on you.
As sl/sl with 350+ resil and 10k+ health they get to be much easier. Hopefully you have a trinket and can get out of the stun, then just start running and dotting. Turn and fire a deathcoil if they haven't used CoS. Once you have 3 instant dots and deathcoil evaluate your health vs theirs. Use HS/PoT/healing trinkets or anything else instant if you need to. Then drain tank. Maybe cast a fear if you feel you need to. Don't keep spinning around trying to follow them during the cast though (you know they will be running in circles around you to avoid los). Just stand still and then turn to face them right when the fear cast is ending. Reapply dots and continue to drain. Of course that's the way it happens most of the time with BG scrubs. In world pvp, arena and BGs vs. "good" rogues there can be multiple stuns, vanishes and other unexpected problems. If and when you die just suck it up and accept your place in WoW as a lock. I win more encounters with rogues than I lose now, but only after getting plenty of pvp gear and practicing. Still, when I die I just shrug it off the best I can. |

Re: God I hate Rogues
My main is a lock but i have been focusing alot lately on my rogue and building up his pvp gear...to be honest...i chuckle when ever i spot a lone lock in a BG cause i know I will roflstomp his/her *** regardless of their gear....HOWEVER....if a decent lock gets the jump on me first...its iffy on which way it will go....typically its fear, dot dot dot and usually my trinket is up (since i still have the stupid 5 minute one and hes a NE so no Will of the Forsaken) so I can trinket out and am at least down to half health before I can COS and then just get feared again or am too far away to ShS and his friends arrive in the meantime...lol. I dont complain to much if I do get beat though...its payback...hehe.

I AM doing exactly that. She is level 45 now..... To put it in perspective, once you play a rogue, you will realize that they do have weaknesses. It has helped my main lock fight rogues immensely, by understanding their abilities and energy, combo point systems. |
