The tale of a lonely Warlock
T'was a warlock by the name of Facemurder who was traveling alone in an Arathi Basin battleground up the road from the Gold Mine towards the Farm.
As he was riding along he saw in the distance a Tauren Shaman who looked pretty nasty, but he was also riding, but in the opposite direction. The warlock was just going to keep riding on by because the farm was under siege and his assistance was needed. But alas! The shaman stopped and quickly casted frost shock on the warlock, he clearly wanted to engage in battle. Big mistake. Quickly the warlock sent the Tauren screaming in terror with his death coil followed by a fear, and a few dots. He sent his trusty pup, Khummon on the Tauren as well. As the Tauren was running around aimlessly with no control over himself, the Warlock stopped, pointed and laughed at the shaman for his stupidity. After the fear ended, the shaman attempted to cast a healing wave on himself so that he may continue fighting, but of course the warlocks trusty pup spell locked the shaman just in time for a nightfall proc. The warlock sent an insta-shadow bolt towards the shaman and with fright in his eyes, fell to his death. The warlock stood tall, (well short actually, he was a Gnome) over the dead Tauren. And with a slight chuckle, he mounted up and rode on towards the farm to help defend the alliance honor. I thought this was a good story. Silly Shaman. |

Haha great story...
I love people that attack you like that and then get PWNED in the face... why start what you can't finish. I like my chances vs anything other than rogues. |

Re: The tale of a lonely Warlock
Fishing water on the plateau the other day and a mage swooped down to engage me.
Put puppy on him, and once the initial fire-breath wore off, iHot, dots, drain-life, deathcoil, fear, more dots, and laugh (which I don't normally do). You see, I was on the island, and hadn't cleared the mobs yet. He not only managed to pick up the elemental closest to the pools, but also the other three on the larger end of the island. Elementals made short work of him, so I ate and went back to fishing, watching his body. It finally disappeared, but I couldn't find him again. I guess he realized his mistake. Now tell me, why would anybody attack a warlock in the wild without first equipping their trinket (not the first time this has happened. Rogue on the Isle, Two separate hunters around Halaa, Warrior around Osh'ogun, another lock in Terrokar....)? I just don't get it. |

Re: The tale of a lonely Warlock
The beautiful Mistress of Darkness, moved by the plight of the Murlocks at the hands of evil Naga sorceresses on the Isle of Quel'Danas, brought forth her knowledge of the dark secrets and fury to destroy the mages.
Confident in the loyalty of her demons and sure of her power she killed them, four and 5 at a time. A cowardly Tauren Druid watching the display of dark prowess waited patiently for a perceived moment of weakness. the Dark Mistress grievously wounded and cold finished the pathetic Naga and raised her eyebrow at the Tauren. The cowardly Druid rooted her in place and dropped her pathetic moonfire once, twice and thrice in a panicked attempt to destroy the wounded Lady of Darkness. Hate and fury filled her as her deathcoil flew from her hands. Fear gripped the Druid as affliction after affliction ripped into its body. The Lady of Hate laughed as shadowbolt after shadowbolt left her fingers. The life of the Tauren Druid burned away healing the lady of darkness and strengthening her power and resolve. In the end the corpse fell lifeless at her feet. The dark lady mused the fate of the druid revitalized and ready to continue her work against the Naga. Re: The tale of a lonely Warlock
Oh well, since everyone is sharing...
I (level 62) was up near Mag'har Post the other night, doing a quest that required that I give a health potion to sick orcs in the area, when a Netherdrake swooped down on top of me and unloaded a level 70 Alliance Pally whom immediately stunned me. The shock wearing off, just as the stun did, I sent that Pally fleeing in terror with a good Howl! I was amazed that it had worked. Tossing a Siphon Life on him to regain a spot of health, I gave chase staying on his heals and watching my Howl Timer count down. 3... 2... 1... I immediately hit my racial silence ability preventing the Pally from doing anything for just a moment while I cast a full length Fear on him. At this point, I decided, it was a good time to flee. I mean, who knows when my spells might begin to start resisting, or if he might break free of my fear. So I sprinted as fast as I could towards the Mag'har Post entrance while rotating my screen around to see what the pally was up to. He mounted again and flew right for me! By this time, however, my Howl's cooldown was just about up, and so I stopped and turned, as soon as the Pally landed i shot my Death Coil out, followed by a full length fear and kept running, the Fear had resisted and the Pally caught up to me again. One more Howl and I was scott free, I made it to the camp, and the pally aggroed two of the Orc guards standing near by! Heh heh, it was a pretty exciting escape I thought. |

Re: The tale of a lonely Warlock
In regards to Barghbq...
What is it with Mages ALWAYS wanting to start fights with warlocks. We are the CHECK against them, just like Rogues are ours. For some reason though they always throw themselves at us like lemmings... /sigh I'm starting to wonder if aside from being vending machines they're other purpose is to up my honor ![]() Never have lost to a Mage, Never will. |

Re: The tale of a lonely Warlock
Monday night I was outside of Thrallmar farming boar for the "Other White Meat" when a 70 Mage flew down, I saw him over the way as he approached so I had him on focus. As Soon as he touched down I sent my Felpup on him and began to dot him up, followed by a Fear and ran toward Thrall. He froze me and when it broke I managed to get another fear on him which brought him in the middle of the Elementals attacking the outpost there immediately pulling aggro! So I shot a shadowbolt at him. Then saw that he had died. I ran into Thrallmar to prevent any retaliation and checked my PVP record and was credited w/ the kill! WHOOHOO! lol
I waited for a while and decided that he was gone. I get to the outpost and he hits me w/ a frost and once it breaks I ran again inside Thrall and decided to farm out back and not take my chances! I got my Prurified meat and flew over to Spinebreaker. Fully reveling in my glory. |
