How do you get out of the 1500 bracket? (Lock + Shaman) - The Warlocks Den Forums

gave me a reason to ask:

How many of you locks have, these late 2-3 months, a considerable increase of your 2 vs 2 arena level WITHOUT a druid or rogue partner?

(I mean how many of you leveled about 150-200 scale points).

I Still play with pala, very hard games esp when against rouge. Pala cannot cc rouge best he can do is stun on long cd. Generally we lose against rouge/healer. I have found CoE to be useless unless you have a partner to put some space between you therefore I talent all fel consentration.
I think these small differing talents can help, even though basically most Sl is the same.
I do get a bit upset when some weeks we get hit by the same set up and lose 8 out of 10 games but we hit 1700 a few times
Personally I found shammy teams to be very hard when well equipped.
I am waiting for the day Holy pala's make a come back in 2v2 as I like to play with friends rather than ideal teams

We (lock/hpally) left S3 in 1600, now we are at 1800, and i think we can go higher once we get better items. We also climbed from 1300 to 1500 with our alts druid/warrior and from 1300 to 1400 with rogue/mage.

Still have a lot to learn and imprve though, i started PvPing in S2 but only managed to get a consistent team for 4 weeks, skipped all but the last 2ish weeks of S3.

Still, i do QQ about pallys being naturally the worst arena healers and having also the worst arena itemization.

Anyway, i always assumed shammans as offensive dispellers were the natural enemies to druids, are they not?

Does it count if you go on rollercoaster rides up and down up and down? My team constantly drops to the 1400 goes back up to 1700s closes in on the 1800s. drops back to 13s goes back up to the 1700s... its such a rollercoaster ride. It all depends on how many rogues we fight each week. If only 50% of our matches involve rogues we do pretty well and go up because afterall there are a lot of bad rogues out there. But there are weeks when 90% of you matches involve getting stunned FOREVER by rogues. That's when you go down down and down some more and have to work your way back up again. hehe

Wow, 1400 to 1700 depending on rouges? It amazes me.

This days and at my BG/raiting i rather face a rogue than a warrior, at least with rogue i will have my felpup resisting 7ish seconds rather than 4ish.

Does it count if I'm on a team with a full boomkin druid? He usually only heals against double dps and even in that case just swtiches out to healing weapons.

Very much improved from season 3 where i wasnt such a hardcore arena player with my warlock(was around 1700rating).

But now on Season 4(atm):
~1800 2v2 warlock-shaman
2040 3v3 mage-warlock-shaman(gief rating for weapon today!)
~1800 5v5 warrior-mage-druid-shaman-warlock

Last week me and my pally were at 1800 on EU-Blutdurst (largest BG in the world) and it get's kind of hard from there on, mostly because of all those Druid/Rogue teams. I think Pally+Lock is still a strong comp this season.

I pretty much gave up once i realised i would never get much above 1700 on my lock this season. I dont run with a resto druid or rogue so no point. (My alt rogue in s2 gear is now at 1670 ish with a feral . . . lol ez clas...).
Im on your battlegroup (seen you in bgs :P) and it seems a bit stupid at the moment. The amount of pure fotm type teams is stupid. Ive seen people with s4 shoulders+weapons at 1600. All we seem to meet are rogue/xxx, resto druid/war/rogue type teams, the occasional priest/xxx, or lock/healer team.

(btw... i witnessed a new low now, double healer rogue in 3v3... how pathetic is that.. i thought double healer warrior was lame..)

Arena really is a joke these days unless you play some obvious setup. Its boring being trained by melee and losing to bad players because they outskilled you on the class select screen or who they teamed with. Yes, im bitter.

I haven't had time to work on 3s and 5s with my IRL friends cause they're all busy so we hover in the 1400-1600s range
