The All Warlock 5v5 Arena Team

No, seriously.

Has anyone ever seen one or tried it? Given any thought to what the proepr makeup as far as spec, gear might be? How such a team would fare?

Kinda started off as a joke thought in my head, but hey...

Just kidding. I think with Arena being very much about class composition I don't think a team like that would fare too well. That said, that's one hell of a lot of dots to heal through if all locks could get them up on everyone quick enough.

I'm sure it might be quite fun for the novelty if you wanted to try it.

I've heard of an all warlock WSG team. I believe the cry was "oh god, stop the fear!" I believe there were a bunch of infernals used to interrupt some flag runs too.

For an arena team, it would be interesting ... would you all spec SL/SL? Would you go 3 SL/SL, 1 felguard and 1 UA? Not sure how far you could go in arena's with 5 locks, but it would be interesting.

I have heared of this and have seen a vid or two... cant remember if the actual vids I saw were all gimic/jokes though, most were for sure... would have been on YouTube though

I have done 4 Lock 1 pally.... it only got really as high as 1800... But after that its like just to hard for the pally to keep everyone up...We did 2 sls locks and ua UA locks due to the fact of dispells...

Dots hurt.... you can really lock out a healer for a Long time..

I bet 3 Locks and 2 Resto Shaman would be a powerful/fun combo. 2x CH spam, 2x Bloodlust, CoT on all the casters, tons of grounding/tremor/poison totems, and a sh!tload of DoTs.

The weakness of a Pally Healer (as much as I love me some FoL spam) is the single targetedness of the healing.

One day as i was pvping in BGs my arena mates said to me:Why dont we make a 5v5 team with the following classes?:P warrior,shaman,mage,druid,WARLOCK(yes warlock

The team rocks!We got cc,we got mortal strike,WE GOT DPS!
Basically what we do is warrior gets on our primary kill target and puts MS on him(warrior should be given WF aswell),our mage polymorphs priests or paladins or anything that can dispell+he is the main burst dps(and our mage throws !@#$ loads of damage :P,believe me);druid is mainly cycloning and rooting mellees+healing ofc.Shaman giefs WF,uses grounding against spell caster teams,purges and uses BL at the right time(mage calls it since he knows when he will do the insane 'omg pet nova=4k frostbolt+2k fire blast'.
Last but not least me as a warlock what i do is dot the primary target we r gonna dps BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY putting COT on palas,shammies,priests.Also dont hesitate to hide at the start a lot so the other team is forced to change their primary dps target.If there is a mage on the other team its your job to make his life miserable with spell locks,fears,coil and COT(yes COT;do you think he will be decursing it when he is being so pressured?Most of the mages i did that to didnt decurse at all)So the warlock's job is not actually pure dps but supporting his mage with dots and making the opposing healers' lives miserable with COT and fears.This team is at 1800 rating atm and we only played 2 days..

We have a all lock 5 team on Korialstraz, whirlwind battlegroup. All of us are SL/SL and fairly well geared with a mix of S3 and S4 gear. But we only do it for fun, we don't expect to hit a really high rating, last night we went 11-8 I think and our rating is 1586.
Our strategy is pretty simple, we charge the other team soon as the door opens trying to catch team off guard. We immediately start dotting everyone, meanwhile looking for the healers, we put COT on the healers with full sets of dots, and if possible we put all 5 pets on healers along with some fears. We also start dropping Howl of Terror to interrupt their melee. The key is surprise and the chaos that ensues as the other team tries to figure out what the heck is going on. If they haven't faced us before, it's really tough to get a strategy going with all the chaos we are creating.
I think with a little more practice and strategy we might be able to make 1700, but who knows, we aren't doing this for the rating as I said, it's just so much fun seeing someone running around with 5 full sets of lock dots on him screaming for healing, man what I wouldn't give to be able to listen to their vent the first time they faced us.
