Rocket boots were banned from the arena late last season.

Ret pallies IMO due to the fact that he has a whole different set of CC, is less squishy, nice burst, and the best thing is he can give you a Blessing of Protection (or is it the Hand of Protection now) to make you immune to physical attacks while you unload.

2 locks share same diminished returns.

The Void shield does not improve from resilience.

From my experience, backlash don't proc if the hits were absorbed by a void shield.

Sad to see sprint wont work, was kinda banking on that heh.

the resi and backlash thing, also sad.

I can see the deminishing returns on seduction if you dont need to interrupt the focus, but are there any other deminishing returns apart from that? idea for this is to not have to cast fear at all.

Will go a' lookin for a pally partner in 8 xp bars time.

2 great thing about 2 locks used to be the improved shadowbolt buff, one bolt crit, BOOM, both locks damage went up by 20% for 12 secs...

Yes, I realize it is ideal not to rely on fear. As broken as it is, fear is still very useful, smart players have many ways of clearing seduce. And don't forget, fear is now more reliable now that it is strictly break on X amount of damage. (no more heart beat resist/break)

It's still possible to run out of the gates with a shield and a pet out. Your timing has to be impeccable, however.

Summon a pet, do your arena prep stuff. 4-5 seconds before the gates open, start summoning your real pet. After the gates open, you'll have just under a second between your pet's summon exhaustion (stunned) wearing off and your new summon completing. This is your window to sacrifice. Bam, shield, new pet and running out of the gates.

It'll take some time to master, but as long as they haven't changed the summon exhaustion mechanic you should be fine.

Seems the nitro boost, is, in fact, allowed:

Which is great news, as is cynics post.

Could i ask some of you Arena players to test this strat out and post your findings, a fraps youtube of it would be great if you have the time.

Hi Cynic.

Are you saying that even with Blizzard's new implementation of removing all buff below 30 seconds, this will still work? My interpretation is that the moment the arena starts, all your buffs under 30 seconds are removed, including sacrifice shield.

Hi Liche.

This is actually not a new strat and have been done by a lot of locks earlier in S1 and so. The problem is that you are starting a game with a VW, which offers no utility, and you will not have the flexibility of Fel domination if you are using it to summon your "real pet", the succubus.

Stealth teams will just wait out your shields. Against certain setups without purges, this is not a bad strat at all. In my opinion, it is too ridgid to execute. But of course, don't take my word for it, give it a try. :-)

also lowers melee's hit chance by 13% talented which would be great!

if it doesnt force the target to target the voidwalker i might as well turn this off...
