to answer the Spec question. i will first point you to Arena Junkies - World of Warcraft PvP Strategy and Discussion they have tons of info on spec and spec performance in PVP. personally i use the 0/17/54 spec. it gets you down to soul-link in the demonology tree and the rest goes down to chaos bolt in Destro. check out arena junkies for the full info on the spec. i really like it though. you need alot of burst in PVP (In my opinion) so this has been working great. however according to Arena Junkies they say that an Affliction/Destro Spec is best in Arena. i have never tried it, and i don't care for Affliction that much so i don't know from experience, but play the spec you like the best. as for the pet, i use the Felhunter so he can stop casts and devour debuffs off of me. plus the soul-link helps. and i keep him on passive so he don't die when i go attacking someone. ----------------- now question... as for the Gear discussion, i see you guys mention the Hateful Gear alot... what is wrong with the Deadly Gladiator Gear? isn't it better? i thought the deadly was a step above the hateful...

You can buy deadly cloak, boots, ring and a couple of other things. Chest, helm, legs etc are only Hateful for just honour. |

Cant post new topics for 7 days because I have a new account, I just have one question: I have the hateful gladiators felweave handguards The World of Warcraft Armory, and a friend reccomended i put a +19 spell power red gem into them. However this does not give me the + 5 spell power socket bonus a blue gem would give me. Do you guys think this was a good call? |

Probably. Rarely are socket bonuses better for a Warlock then a raw 19 spellpower gem. I think the breakoff point is about +7 spellpower socket bonus. If its blue, a 9 spellpower 8 spirit gem should break even with Improved Fel Armor and a +7 spellpower socket bonus. Gemming for PVP has always been awkward for me. I'm under the impression that it's better to gem stam/resil if you're in a DPS/Healer team, and gem more spellpower for a double deeps team. Regardless, I don't find many instances where a 19 spellpower gem is the "wrong" choice, heh. |

I have a few questions about which gems Destr locks should use.. Right Now I use +9spell/8resil & 8resil/12stam gems because I don't have the full set yet. Once I get more PvP pieces, should I switch over to +19 spell power gems? I was looking at the top-ranked arena link, and 90% of the gems used are +spell power, even for dest locks. Or should I put in some +spell pen gems too? Also I am an enchanter, Should I put +stam on my rings or +spell power? Thanks for the help and the advice I have seen so far!
