- Lichborne: this is an ability that temporarily makes them like an undead creature. It lasts for 15 seconds, during which time they're immune to fears and charms. So if you see them pop this, don't waste your time trying to cc them. Just run and try to keep your dots up. When Lichborne wears off, you can set up the fear and try to turn the tables on them.
Someone who isn't crying, lol...nice! ;)

When they DG you hit them with a DC and wind up a fear, IF they happen to be Frost and use Lich then drop Shadowfury (if you are Destro), and go from there.

Anti-Magic Shell only lasts 5 seconds (or can be glyphed to 7) and only grants 100% immunity if specced for it. This is nothing when compared to a Pally's bubble.

Personally I like fighting against DK's on my various toons, I think they are a fun class (and NEW), and I think they provide a decent challenge without being impossible. Personally I would tend to think that FOR ME DK's are only the 4th hardest class to kill when played right, (maybe tied in 3rd with a good Disc Priest...), but hey, that's just me.

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

lol a DK on the warlock's den telling us how they aren't overpowered or easy to play at all.. riiight. FotM reroll much? Sorry, but I have a DK as well as a warlock and several other classes at 80 (yes I have no life) and they are by far the easiest class to steamroll the vast majority of other classes with, regardless of spec.

Yes they are also getting a rather nasty (and more than well deserved) smack with the nerf bat in the upcoming patch, but that doesn't change the fact that a huge portion of their abilities were obviously designed from the ground up to make them dominate in PvP. They're just built for it. Plate, silences & cooldowns galore, self-healing, death grip, chains of ice, come on. Being extremely good as a DK does take skill, as it does with any class, but it does not take skill to dominate the vast majority of other players in PvP with a DK.

Every other class has had 4+ years to work on. DK's are a brand new class. It's going to take time to get used to tactics, and learning their weakenesses.
I'm pretty sure that anyone who has spent any time at all PvPing at level 80 knows that DKs have two major weaknesses:

1. They are extremely easy to control. All of their abilities are locked out by a Felhunter silence (or Arcane Torrent if you are BE). Their ranged attack is only 20 yards (if I recall correctly), and they are prone to being snared/CCed while their cooldowns are not up.

2. A large percentage of the people who play DKs severely lack skill and are just enjoying the fact that they play the class which has no learning curve, is easy to get good results with, and has the best combination of damage output and survivability in the game. Sweeping generalization, yes, but true from my experience on my server. Everyone's fun easy-mode alt is a DK. I play mine when I want to just zone out and faceroll.

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

Me and a druid friend tend to pvp together for nowadays purley for druids hes actually deep resto and me as affliction the druid keeps removing the diseases and the DK loses his main power by removing the diseases he has to wait for CD's and by that time hes feared as im an affli lock, the druid can heal me and himeself and as we partner up we know how each other play. we do this in BG i dont like arena as im not that competitive

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

The game is "balanced" only at 80. A level 40 hunter will smash a level 40 mage for example.
But yes, dk's aren't fun to vs, as any class other then mage

Actually. I started out as Warlock on this site that made it to the Commander rank in PvP. Never been a Fotm player. Only ever had 3 toons hit the level cap, My hunter (it's what i played in beta and Vanilla) my Lock (Vanilla and BC) and now my Death Knight (only because i abhor blood elves, and don't really want to be a warrior or druid). I also said that I realize they are slightly OP.

And to beredivh What intrests do i have? Was i complaining about DK Nerfs? i doubt it. I've been playing since Vanilla beta, I've seen classes come and go in thier glory. I've seen Shaman's dominate EVERYTHING, and i've seen paladins just suck. It's funny to me that you said something about your paladin, probally the one class that i've heard more people bitch and moan about in pvp than any other that they've needed nerfs. Your pretty much the pot calling the kettle black. Seems to me you hate Death Knights and i'm not sure why nor do i really care. With these upcoming nerfs to the Death Knight class you'll more than likely see a lot of people stop playing it, which is fine with me.

One other thing Welfare class seriously? Blizz was giving something back to players who at least worked to get to 55. I don't know how easy that is now-a-days, but Both of my 60+ toons were leveled the old fashioned way in vanilla. When you still needed a 40 man raid to do Battle of Darrow shire. No matter what I say or anyone else does your always going to hate for what ever reason.

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

Was doing some old quest in eastern plaguelands, the capture of the pvp towers, not really paying attention when out of now where a deathknight comes up and 4 hit me...very fast. here's the damage: Obliterate 8019(crit), 3329..... Hearth Strike 3973(crit) and melee attack 1700..DEAD with in 3 sec's. Wasnt even able to get off mount or counter attack. This is why I hate to pvp now a days :(

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

if you can't beat them, join them.

When leveling my dk through hellfire at L61 a rogue, mage and paladin at same level jumped me. I killed them all and had ~50% hp left in the end. DK is OP, very very OP.

Re: Alright...enough with the DK's

I do PVP with both my lock and now with A DK. Yes, DKs are OP atm and I hope there will be some better balance going forward.

As far as locks in BGs, I've always stuck with deep destro and seduce/nuke (and aff in Arena). Burst damage is just too important to me and for BGs in general these days. Seeing a chaos bolt crit for 10K+ on a non-PvP geared clothy is fun to see. Plus I feel like backlash is a must when dealing with melee. As far as pets go, I feel like, unless it's an FG, they're strictly for soul link and utility (seduce). As for DKs I can sometimes hold my own. It's still rogues that nail me and once a Subtlety rogue pounces on me, 9 times out of 10 I just go afk to make a sandwich while he finishes with me.

Actually had some moderate BG success with this weird 30/41 build before I went back to seduce/nuke. Good luck
