Have to agree that destro has better cc options. I used to play destro and tried affy last week..ihot is good but thats about it. Affy is a total different play style provided you can dot your target then you will do fine vs dps teams in 2v2. Healer teams are tough as affy b/c its a long fight if your partner is dps and as well. Most healers have Hots which will be comparable to your dots..so you will need to nuke now and then...also 1 heal off especially against a healer & burst dps (like a rogue) is close to a loss.. Right now as affy the toughest fights we have is priest/rogue and pretty much any decent healer/dps team. Im thinking if your gonna roll 2dps in 2v2 then you need to be burst cause affy is tough imo. The glyph of conflagrate is to chain the daze effect of the shadowflame with the conflagrate one. Besides better clense than heal and thats a 1 second global cooldown. The reason why you should go for chasobolt is: 1: Pierces trought all shields and can force a premature damage reduction/instant heal cd/defensive abilities and spells 2: Cant be resisted/apsorbed but is affected by resilience unlike some people posted on this thread before me 3: Conflagrate rulez, and putting 5 points in Fire and brimstone gives us 50 talents spent in the destro tree, at that stage its the best point to go for since you'll run with 20 in demonology for your damage/survivor capabilities and its not even comparable to a 1/2 master conjuror, Mana feed, 1% hit in affly or any other talent in among the ones we can put a point into. About the spell penetration Useing it on cloak as en cnchant and running most of the time with CoE (true coe has to hit in order to reduce the resistance) didnt run into any major issue in "Miss" matters. About the Gear 730+ resilience 22k hp 2300+ spellpower 20% crit with firestone (25% with devastation) I'd put the battlemaster and the WG trinket above any other since i suppose you'll go for a dpes setup (talking 2v2 wise) and your goal is to lock the opponent and kill it, so extra spellpower would fit better. Also if you want much more info about destro pvp there is drakedog.net , A community made for destro locks especially wich i'm sure will fit answers all of your questions about specc/macros/gear/sockets/combos, but i guess everyone knows about it alrdy :P Hope this was of some help.
