I use it and Love it....but I caste it if i have the time or the element of surprise.

Duals i DC fear(or save DC) coe immo choas B and conflag....backlash Incinerate TOAST Alliance (No offense Alliance:P) take out CoE and you'll need to reaply fear or hope to get another conflag up(gear dependent of course)

Havent used succy that much but my imp gives raids +health and packs a whalop and everyone seems to ignore him

To expand on what Thunk said (a much more concise version of what I was trying to say) - CoE is one of those spells in PvP that if you have the time to cast it - you've already won the fight.

Glad for this post. Along with CoT, this is now one of my favorite curses. I had dismissed outside of raids some time ago. But I'm finding this helps a good bit against DKs where I often see incinerates drop below 1K damage.

For me, CoE is not worth much in pvp situations. I find wearing people down with Corrupt, immolate and Curse of Agony as destro works a lot better, (especially in arena). As long as you can keep them 'controlled' they will be putty in your hands.

Re: CoE in destro's PVP

13% more damage and 165 pen is worth a huge amount in destruction

Well, actually reading over past posts - you have a very fair point for use against Dks, Shadow priests and Mages

I didn't see this question addressed and I'm wondering the same, although I'm affliction.

I'm considering exchanging my spell pen enchant and gems for spell power and resilience, using CoE exclusively instead of Curse of Agony.

Anyone do the same? Recommended?

i would think so, but i am not 100% sure. because technically if you are lowing their resistance to certain schools of magic then you are raising your spell penetration along with anyone else who casts on that player.

i use CoElements quite a bit in PVP. at least i have recently, i have found that the more you can do to help your team out the better. if i throw COE on someone and i die. that means anybody else that hits him/her will benefit from my spell long after i am dead. so yea, i apply it pretty often if i am not in a scramble.

Paladans really need it because they freaking heal themselves constantly and it takes effort to drop them before they get back to 100% health.

I use it every chance I get. In BGs any time you need to move you can put it on without wasting a GCD, like running away and all other helpful spells are on cooldown.

I sometimes dismount by casting CoE, run a bit for the GCD and then go on the offensive. You'll be surprised how melee will go after a dismounted stationary caster than a moving one. Which means as I am not getting a melee on me straight away then I get a chance to unload on someone before having to do anything defensive.

On a 1v1 situation, just after a fear or seduce is a good time to cast it as you will break the cc on your next offensive cast so why not do more damage.
