Cooldown on Fel Domination is too long, IMO. Puppy still has more utility, I think.

Why use Fel Domination when you don't actually sacrifice the VW? O.o

Re: Voidwalker Sacrifice change boon to pvp locks?

I have been using VW in BGs lately and it is awesome. I always got killed by rogues before but its not a sure thing for them anymore. Same with Pally. THey bubble, I bubble.

No one has commented on its use in Arena yet.. my team isn't doing all that well so I don't want to mess up our rating anymore than it is, but I might try this out in a few matches and see. 8k worth of damage is nice after all, and thats 1/3 of my health. I hate to loose the utility of felpup but our biggest problem is melee teams, not casters atm. (of course that could be due to felpup)

If anyone else tries this in arena please post and let us know how it goes. Thanks.

Re: Voidwalker Sacrifice change boon to pvp locks?

The void sacrifice change is awesome imo.

I even used it in our first kill of mimiron. Having soul link AND a shield is very nice, and now i can also say i stand a fair chance against any opponent in pvp. Honestly, i pity rogues now. I have about 750 resilience in pvp gear, and the void walker is perfect versus melees.
consume shadows + Shield + torment (15% hit debuff on melees)+ soul link + soul link glyph + trinket + shadowfury + shadowflame + teleport + conflag + backdrafted immo/chaosbolt/incinerate + death coil + fear + another conflag...we are almost too good now.

Ofc if everything is off cooldown :P

^ /agree

The new changes are great and exactly what we needed to give us extra surviveability against high burst melee...mainly rogues and pallies imo.

Sure if you stand still your going to get 6 shotted..but you shouldnt be standing still .

We will never get an IWIN button...if you want an IWIN button roll a hunter..the preferred class for people that dont have what it takes to play a lock

this worked for me in arenas tried in 3 games and it actually saved me 2 times. maybe you other guys have other results but i like it this far.
its good because of damage absorb AND because of that you can cast more freely.

Re: Voidwalker Sacrifice change boon to pvp locks?

I have tried it in BGs, it can help if you're not outnumbered to much. I have yet to try it in arena, but I am sad that I will have to give up my Felhunter. I won so many Duels with the silence skill and immolate + conflag + shadowbolt crits.

3.1 Re: Voidwalker Sacrifice change boon to pvp locks?

LOVING this!!! Survived a rogue / warrior initial burst in WSG long enough to teleport away and nuke them down from afar. I use it pretty much anytime it's on cooldown. Even against dps casters -- sure I can't interrupt their spells anymore but now I can survive a good chunk of their damage so it's a decent tradeoff. Most importantly though, I don't get nervous guarding nodes by myself anymore and getting jumped by a stealthy. Do have more problems taking down healers though...so nothing's perfect. More switching in and out of pets I guess.

Only used 3 times in arenas so far. Twice against a resto/enhancement shammy team. Lost the first time running around like chickens without heads, won the second time using the bubble, -hit ability and blowing my healthstone giving me enough time and my rogue partner enough time to burst his healer down. The third was against a priest/rogue team where we killed their rogue, my rogue died and I switched out to a felhound just in time to have my kids wake up screaming so I had to afk (probably would have lost anyway, disc priest ugh). So I think there is some good utility potential here, at least to survive the initial burst. Then again, I'm still in the ~700s so not indicative of better players.
