I'm on a PvE server but I love to enter the battleground/Wintergrasp. I been playing 2 years, and well I just don't have the skills I guess. I know there's no 'easy' fight, but come on, I cant (with out backup) seem to kill anyone. I get SOOO mad because of this. with buffs my spell power is about 2416, my resilience is at 485. I love the felguard so for pvp i use basically a SL/FG spec. any suggestion? before i change my name to "cantkillsheet" PS sorry for the vent...can delete if need be. Just had to get it off my chest

I guess it depends on how you play. Affliction is good at mobile damage and self healing, and without a doubt the best LoS'er. Destro is great at nuking things down, but at the expense of being the most cast-reliant of the three trees. Demo has a hard hitting pet, and is great against most melee when Meta is up, but Meta also comes at the price of being more CC-able. Perhaps you should try out a few different PVP specs, and spend a good amount of time with each one to get used to the playstyle, and then make a determination on which you want to make your main PVP spec. Another thing to note, if you are going to do arena, picking the right type of partner for your particular spec (or vice versa) is important. Generally Affliction is better with healers and destro is better as double dps (2v2).

Re: I just cant PvP I guess...
Pretty simple: Get waay more resilience. That's the single most important PVP stat. Watch a LOT of PVP videos and analyze how classes react to situations.. etc Hope that helps |

PS~ Resilience is important. Too bad our pets don't get any benefit from it.

thanks for the replies. Like I said just had to vent and get it off my chest. Hey maybe the Den needs to add a "rant" room as long as your not attacking personally

Easiest to play is metamorphasis with some points in destruction, mostly to pick up ruin and shadowburn. If you pick up the talents you can reduce the cooldown on meta to 2 min which works out good for BG's. The extra spellpower and crit you get in the demonology also helps make up for gear shortfalls. There isn't alot of buttons, just agony, corruption, immolate and then you just either fear, deathcoil, shadowburn with shadowbolts for filler if you have nothing else to do. Good glyphs are the shadowflame, corruption and felguard ones for this spec. You can fit all the skills you need out on one bar, immolation and the charge are the only ones you will use of the special talents. Make a macro to bind your empowered demon talent to an opening spell like curse of agony so it pops without wasting time on pushing the button. An example of a fight in a BG versus a solo guy would start with you riding towards him and hitting curse of agony as soon as your in range to dismount and causing your felguard to charge him. During the felguard stun you can land your corruption and curse of agony and then decide if you want to pop metamorphasis and charge him with immolation aura on or if you want ot try killing without it. If you do pop metamorphasis use the charge, then shadowflame to 70% snare, and let your aura, shadowburn etc do the rest. You will be weak versus healers, sometimes its better to just keep trying to drain mana and drain life on them rather then chasing endlessly though if you time it right you can surprise them and burst them down. Good luck |

i feel you dawg i'm right there, just like you..the only real solution (other than spending time to actually learn all the possible scenarios in pvp arena combat) i found to give some satisfaction is to put yourself a disgustingly ultra-nuke spec together that allows you to just blow your target up and hope for the best. Good luck mate |

Ive tried different spec's. I have mixed feeling about them. I guess since I been playing with felguard ever since I first started playing and able to pick up this pet, I have always felt comfortable with it. So I usually end up back with a spec that involves him. soo out of these 2 specs(glyphs included) which ones you think is best for pvp(not arena's...only BG's) 1. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (you get molten skin4%..Soul link 20% plus the soul link glyph 5%..= 29% damage reduction) 2. Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft (Shadow Mastery, Nightfall, Glyph of corruption..for nightfall stacking)

Personally i tend to find im top of the lists in BG's lately and not in the greatest gear or maxed out resiliince, i find this is mainly due to my rotation. as afflic i use haunt > UA > corruption > Curse of Agony if im one on 1 i then fear, use my trinkets and lifedrain (i know its not insta blast but with the boost from other dots it ticks for 1k every .94 seconds and if theyre blasting me its very nice) If there are multiple horde (i know im dead) so i'll dot the hell out of one, howl to get rid of the rest then dot as many as i can before im anally slaughtered. as destro i use trinkets > immo > conflag > CB > incinerate spam, fear if needed then conflag again if there are multiple horde i used shadowfury then do this to at least get one of the buggers down i find the best thing is just to try and take as many of them down with you as you can, but if your still alive at the end its a bonus
